We are seeking a highly skilled **3D Designer/Developer** with expertise in NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, and realtime 3D content creation for factory-scale digital twins. The ideal candidate will convert complex CAD/PLM assets into optimized OpenUSD scenes, build custom Omniverse extensions, and enable highperformance, analyticsdriven 3D environments aligned with advanced manufacturing and FactoryoftheFuture principles. **Key Responsibilities** **USD Asset Authoring & Scene Structuring** - Convert CAD/PLM assets into **OpenUSD** with proper materials, metadata, variants, and hierarchical scene structures. - Maintain strict USD authoring standards including composition layers, naming conventions, and asset integrity checks. - Implement **CI/CD pipelines** to validate USD assets, materials, physics settings, and Omniverse extensions. **3D Optimization for Real-Time Performance** - Optimize large-scale factory scenes through **geometry decimation**, LODs, texture atlasing, and drawcall reduction. - Profile and tune **GPU utilization**, RTX rendering, and scene complexity for multi-user realtime performance. - Ensure visual, functional, and physics accuracy across complex 3D environments. **Omniverse Extension & Tool Development** - Develop **Omniverse Kit extensions** in Python/C++ for simulation controls, UI tools, parameter editing, analytics overlays, and automation workflows. - Build scalable tools for designers and engineers to improve asset ingestion, setup, review, and simulation configuration workflows. **Integration of Manufacturing Data** - Integrate **BOM, routing, process parameters, cycle times**, and other manufacturing datasets within OpenUSD scenes. - Configure physics, kinematics, part flow, conveyor logic, buffers, and station behaviors to enable realistic bottleneck, throughput, and cycletime analysis. **Collaboration & Real-Time Streaming** - Enable **multi-user collaboration**, shared sessions, and cloud or onpremise streaming using Omniverse Nucleus and related services. - Support scenario reviews, interactive walkthroughs, and realtime design evaluations across crossfunctional engineering teams. **KPI Visualization & Analytics** - Create in-scene visualization of operational KPIs such as **throughput, cycle time, utilization, WIP, and OEE**. - Enable export of analytics to external dashboards and enterprise reporting tools. **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Collaborate with platform engineers, integration teams, manufacturing SMEs, and program managers to align with **Factory of the Future (FoM)** principles and simulation requirements. - Provide technical input on 3D asset standards, workflows, performance tuning, and best practices. **Required Skills & Qualifications** - Strong experience with **CAD OpenUSD conversion**, materials, metadata management, and scene structuring. - Hands-on expertise with **NVIDIA Omniverse**, including Kit workflows, Nucleus, and RTX rendering. - Proficiency in **Python and/or C++** for Omniverse extension development. - Deep knowledge of **real-time rendering**, 3D optimization techniques, physics simulation, and kinematic modeling. - Experience with CAD/PLM tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks) and manufacturing datasets (BOM, routing, cycle times). - Familiarity with digital twin workflows, manufacturing operations, and industrial process modeling. - Ability to work in collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environments and deliver highquality 3D assets at scale.
