Job Title: Ab Initio Developer Experience: 5 to 8 Years Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Bangalore Position ID : J0626-2066 Seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer with strong expertise in ETL development, Data Warehousing, SQL/PLSQL, and UNIX Shell Scripting. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting large-scale data integration solutions while ensuring data quality, performance, and governance standards. Your future duties and responsibilities Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment) Ab Initio Co>Operating System EME (Enterprise Meta Environment) Ab Initio Plans & Scripts Parallel Processing Concepts SQL / PL-SQL UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting Data Warehousing Concepts ETL Development & Support Performance Tuning **Preferred Skills** Continuous Flows Oracle / DB2 / SQL Server / PostgreSQL Control-M / Autosys AWS / Azure / GCP Agile/Scrum Methodology Metadata Management Data Governance Roles & Responsibilities ETL Development Design, develop, test, and deploy Ab Initio graphs and reusable components. Develop and maintain EME projects, sandboxes, and metadata repositories. Build scalable ETL solutions for large-volume data processing. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards. Performance Optimization Optimize Ab Initio graphs for throughput and resource utilization. Tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations. Identify and resolve ETL and database performance bottlenecks. Support production performance tuning activities. Data Quality & Governance Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Implement validation, reconciliation, and error-handling mechanisms. Support enterprise metadata management and governance initiatives. Ensure compliance with data standards and policies. Production Support Investigate and resolve ETL failures and data issues. Perform root cause analysis for production incidents. Participate in release deployments and post-production validation. Provide preventive solutions for recurring issues. **Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role** 4–8 years of experience in Ab Initio development. Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts. Advanced SQL and database performance tuning skills. Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux scripting.
