Staff Accountant – Inventory Accounting & NetSuite **Position Summary** Seeking a detail-oriented **Staff Accountant** with expertise in **inventory accounting, general ledger management, month-end close, and NetSuite Advanced Inventory** . The role supports multiple operating companies, ensuring accurate inventory valuation, reconciliations, and financial reporting while partnering with Finance and Operations teams. Key Responsibilities Inventory Accounting - Manage and analyze inventory transactions using **NetSuite Advanced Inventory** . - Perform monthly **inventory account reconciliations** and reconcile inventory subledgers to the GL. - Investigate and resolve inventory variances. - Review inventory adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and related transactions. - Support **inventory reserve calculations** (excess & obsolete inventory). - Analyze inventory aging and valuation. - Ensure accurate inventory accounting and financial statement reporting. - Support month-end inventory close activities. General Accounting - Prepare **journal entries** , supporting schedules, and account analyses. - Perform monthly **balance sheet reconciliations** . - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. - Research and resolve accounting discrepancies. - Assist with external audit requests and documentation. - Maintain accounting records in compliance with **US GAAP** . Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting or Finance** . - **4–5+ years** of accounting experience. - **1–3 years** of inventory accounting experience. - **2+ years** of NetSuite experience. - Strong knowledge of **GL accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close** . - Advanced **Microsoft Excel** skills. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications - **CA or CPA** candidate. - Experience in **multi-entity environments** . - External audit support experience. - Knowledge of inventory costing methods: **FIFO, Average Cost, Standard Cost** .
