Job Description: The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for overseeing payroll accounting, statutory compliance, employee benefits accounting, and related financial control activities across EMEA and APAC regions. This role ensures the accurate accounting and reporting of payroll transactions, adherence to SOX and internal control requirements, effective management of account reconciliations through BlackLine, and support for internal and external audits. The position also manages accounting for employee equity compensation programs, including RSUs and ESPPs, and supports actuarial valuation and employee benefit accounting in compliance with IFRS and Ind AS standards. How would be candidate will make an impact: • Manage end-to-end payroll accounting activities for EMEA and APAC entities, ensuring accurate recording of payroll expenses and liabilities. • Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments in compliance with company accounting policies and reporting standards as per USGAAP and Local GAAP. • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of payroll-related accounts and certify reconciliations through BlackLine. • Analyze payroll variances, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with Payroll teams for timely resolution. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls related to payroll accounting, employee benefits, and financial reporting processes. • Maintain audit-ready documentation and provide support for internal and external audits, including schedules, reconciliations, and control evidence. • Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, social security, pension obligations, and other statutory payment requirements across EMEA and APAC regions. • Manage accounting for employee equity compensation programs, including RSUs and ESPPs, ensuring accurate recording of stock-based compensation expenses and related financial disclosures. • Assist with actuarial valuation and accounting for employee benefits such as gratuity, pensions, leave encashment, and other long-term obligations in accordance with IFRS and Ind AS. • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, financial reporting, management analysis, and continuous process improvements through automation and control enhancements. The Must have: • B.COM, M.Com., CA inter, MBA in Finance. • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a multinational environment. • Proficiency in ERP systems (Preference -Oracle), and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong knowledge of payroll, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and GL process.
