Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary** We are looking to add a skilled **Accounting Associate (Indirect Tax)** within the Indirect Tax CoE (Centre of Excellence) based in Bangalore, India. This role is responsible for managing EMEA VAT compliance processes, leveraging technology platforms such as Vertex/Avalara to ensure accurate filings, data integrity, and payment workflows. The Associate will bring deep multi-jurisdictional tax knowledge, audit compliance expertise, and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation. The preference for this role is to be based out of **Whitefield Office, Bangalore, India** **What you will do** - The indirect tax CoE will be responsible for the periodical indirect tax compliance for Global regions. - This team will be responsible to extract and interpret the tax data from our systems to enable informed business decisions, perform return filing and reconciling with the books of accounts on the Tax positions. - Our focus is on improving our tax processes by using technology, which increases our responsibility for monitoring the completeness and accuracy in our indirect tax systems, striving for full tax automation, and driving the vision for improved and efficient tax compliance. - Our team consists of a diverse group of individuals with backgrounds across consulting, tax, accounting, and analytics. - You will need to have strong project management skills as you'll drive cross-border projects and develop best practice in processes on a Global level. - You'll be a strong team player who is able to work with people across the organization **What you will have:** - Prepare and Submit EU VAT returns, EC Sales List, Intrastat, other indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions Work on testing VAT related internal controls - Analyse and validate compliance data, flagging issues and collaborating with teams to resolve them efficiently. - Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance-related matters. - Ensure adherence to indirect tax processes and update procedures as needed to reflect evolving business requirements. - Prepare and review month-end reconciliations and journal entries, maintaining comprehensive audit documentation. - Leverage technology to streamline and automate tax calculations, ensuring compliance and accuracy. - Degree in finance, accounting, tax, or related field. - Strong English written and verbal communication skills. - Core experience with Global VAT/GST and Indirect tax accounting. Mainly UK - Working knowledge of SAP and Tax engines, tools such as Vertex, GVRT, is preferred - Robust knowledge of MS Excel - Ability to analyse large data volumes to identify key insights. - Self-driven with a critical and positive 'can-do' attitude. - Comfortable collaborating with various subject matter experts. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision. - **This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office.** **Skills Required:** **Accuracy and Attention to Detail**: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
