The Acquisition Manager will focus on driving new customer acquisition for retail and business banking products, including deposits, loans, cards, and other financial solutions. Daily responsibilities include identifying and prospecting potential customers, conducting needs-based discussions, and recommending appropriate banking products aligned with customer profiles. The role involves managing leads from various channels, coordinating with branch teams and product specialists, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The Acquisition Manager will track sales performance, maintain a healthy pipeline, prepare periodic reports, and contribute to local marketing and outreach initiatives to strengthen HDFC Bank’s presence in the region. **Qualifications** - Strong skills in customer relationship management, consultative selling, and negotiation, with a focus on ethical and transparent practices. - Ability to analyze customer profiles, assess creditworthiness at a preliminary level, and match appropriate banking and lending products. - Competence in pipeline management, target achievement, and basic data analysis to monitor acquisition performance and conversion rates. - Comfort with digital banking tools, CRM systems, and standard office software to manage leads, documentation, and reporting. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse customer segments in urban and semi-urban settings. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant banking or financial services experience in sales or acquisition is preferred. - Knowledge of local market dynamics in and around Mangalore, TAS, and willingness to travel locally as required for customer meetings. - Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborate with branch and product teams, and adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
