**Job Title - AI / API Engineer – Agentic AI Solutions\\_Specialist** **Management Level : 09 - Specialist** **Location: Mumbai / Bangalore** **Must have skills:** - Strong Python development skills : Hands-on experience with APIs (REST APIs, authentication, OAuth, tokens), System integration experience - Experience with LLM-based solutions : OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar, Prompt structuring and tool/function usage - Strong problem-solving and system design skills : Ability to design end-to-end workflows, Debugging complex, multi-component systems - Strong Communication skills **Good to have skills:** - Experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, etc.) - Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) - Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) - Familiarity with databases (SQL / NoSQL) - Basic frontend or UI development (for internal tools) - MS Office skills **Job Summary:** We are building a next-generation Agentic AI capability within Payroll, combining business expertise with engineering to automate and scale operations. As an AI / API Engineer, you will design and build agentic AI solutions integrated with enterprise systems, while also mentoring internal talent transitioning into AI roles. This role combines hands-on engineering, solution design, and enablement. **Roles & Responsibilities:** **Build Agentic AI Solutions** Design and develop AI-driven workflows using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) Implement multi-step “agentic” solutions combining reasoning, tools, and data Ensure reliability, accuracy, and scalability of AI outputs **Integrate Enterprise Systems** Connect AI solutions to internal systems via APIs Design and implement REST API integrations (authentication, data exchange) Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple sources **Translate Business Problems into Solutions** Collaborate with payroll SMEs to understand real-world challenges Break down problems into scalable AI + API architectures Deliver production-ready solutions (not just prototypes) **Enable & Mentor Talent** Support upskilling of selected payroll professionals into AI engineers Provide guidance, code reviews, and best practices Contribute to building internal AI engineering capability **Ensure Engineering Best Practices** Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Implement error handling, logging, and debugging practices Contribute to reusable components and scalable design patterns **Profile We Are Looking For** 4–6 years of experience in software engineering or related roles Experience building real-world solutions, not just prototypes or courses Strong ownership and ability to work in ambiguous environments Interest in applied AI (not research-focused roles) Ability and willingness to mentor and enable others **What Success Looks Like** AI solutions successfully integrated with payroll systems Reduction in manual effort through automation Internal team members successfully upskilled into AI roles Scalable and reusable AI solution patterns established **Why Join This Initiative** Combine engineering + business impact.
