**Role: AIX Admin** **Required Technical Skill Set: Knowledge on HACMP, NIM, VIO & Powervc, VI, Powervm, shell script, HMC** **Experience: 7-10 years** **Location: Chennai** **Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)** **Must-Have** **(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)** - Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers. - Support AIX OS to run various software applications. - Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS. - Install and test AIX OS patches. - Develop procedures for AIX security and management. - Working knowledge on Administration of LPARs/DLPARs, HMC, NIM Servers, VIO servers & Powervc - Should have excellent knowledge and hands-on in IBM HACMP Clusters with trouble shooting. **Good-to-Have** - Minimum of 8 years’ experience in AIX domain. - Detect and troubleshoot system operational and functional issues. - Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, and maintenance of AIX systems software and related hardware. - Good working knowledge on LPAR/DLPARs - Good working knowledge on NIM & HMC - Good working knowledge on VIO server & Powervc - Good working knowledge on IBM HACMP clusters. - Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment **Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role** 1 An ability to lead the AIX operational team and drive the SLA/OLA concerned 2 Escalation of problems in a timely manner as per the defined escalation matrix. 3 Ability to communicate technical contents clearly and good on vendor co-ordination.
