**Job Title:** AM – Basel Regulatory Reporting **Department** : ISPL FSS, CIB **About Business Line/Function** The Bank Regulatory Reporting Department is seeking an Assistant Manager to prepare and review the US entities regulatory reports submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank, and other regulators. The jobs main responsibility is to prepare all required regulatory and financial reports and to ensure their correctness, consistency and prompt submission. The position requires intensive involvement in special projects relating to the regulatory reporting tool maintenance and upgrades, GL system interfaces, Axiom automation and remediation effort to improve the overall data quality and process efficiency. **Position Purpose** To contribute for the NAR regulatory filings **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Ensure awareness of US Basel III regulations and updates - Maintain a thorough understanding of US Basel III capital requirements and regulatory reporting requirements - Ensure preparation and execution of close process for RWA and Regulatory capital production and effective communication and coordination with other actors involved in the close process - Ensure consistency of exposures between the Accounting and the Risk or other source systems for calculation of RWA - Provide analyses of IHC spot RWA and RBC ratios - Support IHC Regulatory Reporting team for RWA and RBC related reporting such as FR Y-9C HC-R and FFIEC 102, as well as reconciliation with Regulatory Reports FR Y-9C (balance sheet, off balance sheet) - Support CCAR program for spot RWA and Regulatory Capital calculation and reporting - Ensure the proper audit trail and documentation on the Basel III RWA and RBC ratio for the IHC - Ensure that US Basel III policies are consistently applied across various businesses within the IHC (CIB, Asset Management) - Maintain the IHC US Basel III documentations including methodologies and procedures. - Contribute to the norms and operational committees established over the IHC RWA and Regulatory Capital - Contribute to maintenance of Moody’s Analytical (tool used for RWA and RBC calculation) - Contribute to enhancement of data quality and remediation for the IHC RWA and RBC capital calculation - In coordination with other stakeholders, establish effective reconciliations and controls process over RWA and RBC ratios - Analyze and synthesize movements in products and variations in reports. - Assist with the bank regulatory reporting managers to maintain and enhance the BAU production process and control framework around the Bank Regulatory Reporting processes - Responsible for the preparation and filing of the required Bank Regulatory Reports perform daily, monthly and quarterly production for various Regulatory instances under US GAAP. - Enforce controls and ensure that financial statements are in balance; prepare balance sheet and income statements reconciliation schedules. - Analyze, reconcile, and review all accounts under their responsibility by performing a variance analysis of corresponding revenue/balance sheet items, highlighting trends, and following up on questions/ concerns. - Liaise with various internal (i.e. Legal, Compliance, Audit, Territory Governance, Finance Project Office and Business Operations) and external constituencies (i.e. regulators, external auditors and consultants). - Identify, escalate and remediate data quality issues - Participate in bank examinations and internal and external audits. - Knowledge of the bank’s current regulatory reporting tools, general ledgers, offered products and its related activities. - Establish and maintain communication with the Financial Reporting Group, the Project Office Group, and the Control & Reconciliation Group and ensure that regulatory reporting requirements are properly addressed on all levels of system and procedural changes, including the introduction of new bank products. - Assist with the implementation of the new Regulatory Reporting tool; including performing system testing and UAT reporting and continuing automation effort. - Assist the Basel III Lead with coordinating/managing internal and external resources, tracking status, key attention areas and risks, manage issues and escalate effectively Contributing Responsibilities - Participate in projects as required for new initiatives, process improvements or technology implementation and development - Participate in bank examinations and internal and external audits - Performs other duties as assigned **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Able to work with large data in excel and suggest process enhancement ideas. - Knowledge of advanced formulas & pivot tables in excel is must. - Good working knowledge of Basel III, US Basel will be a plus - SharePoint, MS Word, MS Visio, Power BI & PowerPoint - Specific Qualifications: - Minimum 4 years of experience along with Master's Degree - in management, finance, science, economics, related field or equivalent experience - Master degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA/CA is a required - Knowledge of: - Basel regulations preferred - Axiom preferred - SQL preferred Excel skills with formulas (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) **Technical Skills** **Skills Referential** **(** **Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** - Basel Knowledge and practical working experience - Stakeholder Management - Advanced excel skills **Behavioral Skills** - Good team player - Analytical skills and deep dive mindset - Learning attitude **Education Level:** Master’s degree CA, MBA, CFA or any other professional degree **Location:** Mumbai **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
