The role will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence through plant footprint optimization, new product introduction (NPI), productivity enhancement, Industry 4.0 deployment, automation, lean transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent will play a key role in enhancing Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP) performance while supporting the operational requirements of a mixed manufacturing environment involving **Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Make-to-Order (MTO), Assemble-to-Order (ATO), and Make-to-Stock (MTS)** product families. The ideal candidate should possess strong project management capabilities, deep lean manufacturing expertise, digital manufacturing knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Global Manufacturing teams. **Experience & Qualifications** **Education** - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. **Experience** - 12 to 15 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, operational excellence, or advanced manufacturing roles. - Experience in Industrial Equipment, Compressor, Pumps, Material Handling, Capital Equipment, Process Equipment, Automotive Components, or Heavy Engineering industries preferred. - Proven experience managing: - Strategic manufacturing initiatives - Factory footprint optimization projects - Capacity expansion projects - New Product Development - Productivity and cost reduction programs - Automation and digital manufacturing deployments **Key Responsibilities** **Manufacturing Excellence & Productivity** - Lead manufacturing excellence initiatives aligned with business growth objectives. - Drive improvements in OEE, labor productivity, throughput, capacity utilization, and plant efficiency. - Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities through productivity projects, value engineering, automation, and process optimization. - Develop and sustain continuous improvement culture across manufacturing operations. - Establish best practices and standardized manufacturing systems. **Safety Leadership** - Champion a Zero Harm safety culture across manufacturing operations. - Lead risk assessments, ergonomics improvements, safety kaizens, and hazard elimination projects. - Ensure manufacturing processes comply with EHS regulations and Ingersoll Rand safety standards. - Integrate Safety-by-Design principles into manufacturing and process development initiatives. - Energy regulations - ISO Standards and regulations **Quality Improvement** - Lead defect reduction and quality enhancement initiatives. - Drive PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Capability Improvement, and Error Proofing (Poka-Yoke) implementation. - Support customer complaint reduction and internal quality improvements. - Collaborate with Quality teams to improve First Pass Yield and Cost of Poor Quality. **Strategic Projects & Factory Footprint** - Lead facility layout optimization and manufacturing footprint projects. - Develop future-state manufacturing strategies aligned with growth plans. - Plan and implement capacity expansion and greenfield/brownfield projects. - Drive material flow optimization and value stream redesign. **New Product Development** - Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure seamless product industrialization. - Lead Manufacturing Readiness Reviews for new products. - Develop manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly methods, and validation plans. - Ensure successful launch and ramp-up of new products within cost, quality, and delivery targets. **Industry 4.0 & Digital Manufacturing** - Lead deployment of Industry 4.0 initiatives across factories. - Implement digital manufacturing solutions including: - Industrial IoT - Real-time production monitoring - Smart factory applications - Digital work instructions - Connected manufacturing systems - Predictive maintenance tools - Manufacturing analytics platforms - Leverage operational data to drive fact-based decision making. **AI and Advanced Analytics Applications** - Identify and deploy AI-driven manufacturing improvement opportunities. - Utilize AI/ML solutions for: - Predictive quality - Predictive maintenance - Production scheduling optimization - Demand and capacity planning - Process parameter optimization - Computer vision-based inspection systems - Energy optimization initiatives - Collaborate with IT and Digital teams to develop scalable solutions. **Lean Transformation** - Drive Lean Manufacturing deployment across operations. - Facilitate Kaizen, VSM, SMED, TPM, 5S, Standard Work, Line Balancing, and Flow Manufacturing initiatives. - Lead waste elimination programs focused on: - Transportation - Inventory - Motion - Waiting - Overprocessing - Defects - Overproduction - Underutilized talent - Build Lean capability across manufacturing teams. **Functional Competencies** **Lean & Contin
