The facility will manufacture advanced semiconductor devices including power management ICs, display driver ICs, MCUs, and high-performance logic—addressing the rising global demand across automotive, computing, wireless communication, data storage, and AI markets. As Part Of The Tata Group—a Global Enterprise Operating In 100+ Countries Across Six Continents—TEPL Is Driven By The Tata Mission **“To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long-term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with trust.”** The Dholera facility offers a unique opportunity to build India’s semiconductor future. **Position Overview** AMHS Engineers are responsible for planning, designing, enabling, and supporting the operation of the **Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS)** in collaboration with global vendors. This includes maintaining high system uptime, improving material flow efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration with fab manufacturing operations. The role requires strong troubleshooting ability, hands-on exposure to automation tools, and close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and IT teams to enhance productivity and factory performance. **Key Responsibiities** - AMHS Planning, Design & Integration - Work with global AMHS vendors to plan, design, and implement AMHS solutions for the fab. - Contribute to improving AMHS hardware and software performance, including MCS, controllers, OHT/OHB systems, stockers, and sorters. - Support layout design, standards adoption, and continuous improvement for AMHS deployments. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to identify automation improvement opportunities. - Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance production efficiency, material flow, and system reliability. - Collaborate with IT to resolve system-level issues affecting automation and data communication. - Operational Support - Provide consistent operational support to ensure high uptime and reliability of all AMHS subsystems. - Monitor AMHS performance post-release to production to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. - Conduct routine and preventive maintenance activities to sustain long-term system performance. - Participate in shift pass-down meetings and provide clear documentation of issues, corrective actions, and system updates. - Troubleshooting & Repair - Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for: - Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT) systems - Overhead Buffer (OHB) units - Stockers & Sorters - Vision and traceability systems - Controllers & communication modules - Lead troubleshooting during production-critical situations while maintaining composure under pressure. - Process Excellence & Documentation - Implement 6S practices and maintain spare parts inventory to support smooth operations. - Share lessons learned with engineering and production teams to enhance issue resolution processes. - Support Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) and conduct quality checks for system enhancements. **Essential Atrributes** - 5+ years hands-on experience adjusting, testing, commissioning, or maintaining Daifuku or Muratec AMHS systems - Experience in working at semiconductor fabs, 24x7 manufacturing, or other high-automation industrial environments is beneficial. - Strong willingness to learn AMHS standards, layout concepts, and operations support methodologies. - High proficiency in troubleshooting automation systems across hardware and software layers. - Ability to diagnose root causes and implement long-term corrective solutions. - Excellent teamwork and icollaboration skills. - Strong verbal and written communication abilities for technical and non-technical discussions. - Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, tools, and automation platforms. - Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environments. - Good organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities. - Practical problem-solving mindset, especially during production downtime events. - Ability to stay calm and focused during system failures or high-pressure situations. **Qualification** - B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
