As a Software Engineer I, you will support the development, enhancement, and implementation of SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP solutions that enable Finance business processes across Deloitte. This role focuses on delivering technical solutions aligned to strategic, usability, performance, reliability, control, and security requirements. You will contribute to the support and evolution of Pricing and Forecasting applications while working across development, operations, and continuous improvement activities. **Work you'll do** As a Software Engineer I on the SAP Finance team, you will be responsible for: - Support the Deloitte’s Finance Applications (Pricing and Forecasting) - Work with team members and team leads to analyze, develop, and implement solutions to meet strategic, usability, performance, reliability, control, and security requirements based on the functional specifications - Support and coordinate the efforts of Subject Matter Experts, Development, Quality Assurance, Usability, Training, Transport Management, and other internal resources for the successful implementation of system enhancements and fixes - Perform SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP programming is mandatory - Support daily Core SAP Finance operations and provide timely and consistent resolution of third-level Support activities - Provide around the clock support as needed – including, but not limited to, participating in the on-call rotation - Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials as needed. - Liaise with a learning group to provide input into training materials - Provide input to standards and guidelines and implement best practices to enable consistency across all projects - Participate in the continuous improvement processes, as assigned **The team** The SAP Finance team supports technology solutions that help enable Finance operations across Deloitte. The team works across application development, enhancement, support, and continuous improvement activities to deliver scalable and reliable SAP-based solutions. Team members collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and support functions to maintain critical applications and advance solution capabilities over time. **Location: Hyderabad** **Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST** **Qualifications** Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or equivalent degree - 1-3 years of experience in SAP design and development using ABAP and S/4 ABAP programming - Experience in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), Project Systems (PS), or Finance modules, including data dictionary, data interfaces, conversions, Remote Function Call (RFC), ABAP List Viewer (ALV), Batch Data Communication (BDC), Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI), Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW), dialog programming, Adobe Forms, and reporting - Experience with Open Data Protocol (OData), Core Data Services (CDS) Views, and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDPs) - Experience defining reusable components, frameworks, schemas, standards, or development tools - Experience with performance tuning and stress testing - Experience creating technical documentation or training materials Preferred: - Experience with Eclipse or other open-source integrated development environments - Experience with SAP Fiori and Web IDE - Experience developing web-based applications using Business Server Pages (BSP), Java, or ABAP Web Dynpro - Experience designing and modeling OData services using SAP Gateway Builder - Experience supporting SAP Finance applications - Experience working with development, quality assurance, usability, and training teams **Our purpose** Deloitte’s purpose is to make an impact that matters for our people, clients, and communities.
