Job description

The primary role of an animal nutritionist is to assess the dietary requirements of different animal species and develop balanced feeding programs based on factors such as age, breed, health status, and production goals. They evaluate the quality and nutritional value of feed ingredients, formulate cost-effective diets, monitor animal health and performance, and modify feeding plans when necessary. Animal nutritionists also conduct research to improve feed efficiency, develop new nutritional products, and ensure that feed formulations comply with safety and regulatory standards. They frequently collaborate with veterinarians, farmers, feed manufacturers, and animal caretakers to achieve the best nutritional outcomes.
