Ansible Automation Engineer

Job description

Educational Requirements - Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology Service Line - Cloud Infrastructure Services Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment across Linux environments. - Develop and enhance Shell/Bash scripts to automate routine tasks, improve system efficiency, and reduce manual intervention in day-to-day operations. - Troubleshoot and optimize automation workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure stable, scalable, and secure infrastructure operations. Additional Responsibilities - Good to Have: Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) - Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools - Exposure to Event-Driven Ansible (EDA) - Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Splunk / New Relic - Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Soft Skills: Good communication and collaboration abilities - Soft Skills: Ability to mentor and guide team members Technical and Professional Requirements - Primary Focus: Implementation Execution using ansible-core / Ansible CLI to execute playbooks, ad hoc commands, and manage inventories. - Ansible Playbooks Roles: Develop and maintain basic playbooks and reusable roles. - Ansible Galaxy: Consume and customize community roles and collections. - YAML Jinja2: Write task definitions, templates, and variable structures. - Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket): Version control for playbooks and documentation. - Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Ansible. - Required Skills: Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration. - Required Skills: Experience with YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Git. - Required Skills: Understanding of REST APIs and integrations. - Required Skills: Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). - Required Skills: Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
