On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training, and culture events. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participate in a cross-shore development team - Influence and collaborate to create amazing API s - Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams - Passionate about the latest technologies, open-source projects and languages - Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance - Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned **Qualifications/Requirements:** - Bachelor s degree in computer science or related degree with knowledge of application development using Java with 6 Months to 1 Year of Software Engineering Experience or in lieu of a degree 2 years of relevant experience. - Critical Thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills - 6 Months + of applied Java experience - Hands-on experience in Credit Card Acquisition platform with ample knowledge in credit card application processing and decisioning systems or similar. - Critical Thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellence in technical communication with technical and non-technical peers. - Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence. **Desired Characteristics:** - Experience in Front End UI development and Backend Java programming. - Familiarity building and consuming web services via SOAP and REST - Familiarity with common Java frameworks like Spring and Spring boot - Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket and git. - Familiarity with continuous integration environments - Familiarity writing unit and integration tests - Familiarity with JSON, REST and XML based web services - Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers - Strong cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization - Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment - Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups - Strong attention to detail in a team environment - Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to analyze, use structured problem-solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options - Knowledge on AI Tools for Developers (Like GitHub Co-pilot, Rovo etc), Development of AI Agents, Understanding of tools, skills and Instruction markdown files etc. **Work Timings** : 2PM to 11 PM IST This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose.
