Job Title: Appian Developer Location: Any Xebia Office Experience: 3+ Years **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced Appian Developer to join our low-code delivery team. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Appian applications, working closely with solution architects, business analysts, and client stakeholders. The role involves end-to-end development – from interface design in SAIL to backend integrations and database work – on complex, high-visibility engagements. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and develop Appian applications including SAIL interfaces, process models, records, sites, and reports - Build and maintain integrations with external systems using Appian Integration objects, Connected Systems, Web APIs, and REST/SOAP services - Design and optimize database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) and map them to Appian CDTs / record types - Translate business requirements into scalable, performant Appian solutions following platform best practices - Write clean, reusable expression rules and maintain well-structured application objects - Perform unit testing, support SIT/UAT cycles, and resolve defects across environments - Participate in code reviews, deployments, and release management activities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery model - Troubleshoot production issues and support application health monitoring **Required Skills & Experience** - 3–4 years of hands-on Appian development experience across at least 2–3 full project lifecycles - Strong proficiency in SAIL (interface design, expression rules, complex UI patterns) - Solid experience with Appian integrations – REST/SOAP web services, integration objects, connected systems, API authentication (OAuth, API keys, certificates) - Strong database skills — SQL (MariaDB / MySQL / SQL Server / Oracle), data modelling, query optimization, and CDT/record type mapping - Good understanding of Appian process models, records, data fabric, sites, and security/group management - Experience with Appian deployment practices (import/export packages, environment promotion, version control) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar) - Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills **Preferred / Nice to Have** - Appian certification – Certified Senior Developer (L2) - Exposure to Appian AI capabilities (AI Skills, process HQ, Data Fabric insights) - Experience in regulated environments (GxP, pharma, public sector) or working with compliance requirements - Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem integrations (Graph API, SharePoint, Entra ID) - Experience with document generation, RPA, or Appian plug-ins - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Appian deployments **Education** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
