Position Summary **Level:** Specialist Master or equivalent As a Specialist Master(App Architecture) at Deloitte Consulting, you will oversee the technical delivery of enterprise-scale software solutions, lead cross-functional and global teams and mentor junior members. You will collaborate to understand functional requirements, support sales and proposal efforts, and drive end-to-end project delivery, including estimation and planning, to ensure successful outcomes. **Work you’ll do:** Collaborate with the functional team and client to thoroughly understand business requirements. Serve as the Architecture lead, overseeing technical delivery by providing architectural direction and implementation recommendations. Lead documentation efforts, ensuring all deliverables adhere to architectural standards and best practices. Direct the design and development of solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall architecture and timely delivery according to project plans. Work closely with project leadership to identify and escalate potential risks, prepare status reports, and ensure architectural considerations are addressed. Mentor junior team members, facilitate communication between various teams within the engagement, and champion architectural integrity throughout the project. Responding to proposals by providing accurate estimations and technical input, supporting the overall success and alignment of project objectives with client needs **Technical Proficiencies** **Expertise in J2EE and Spring Boot:** - Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE frameworks, with a focus on Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Cloud - Extensive experience in developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using J2EE **Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP):** - Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on one or more hyperscalers: - - AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation - Azure: App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Blob Storage, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) - GCP: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Deployment Manager/Terraform - Proficiency in designing and deploying microservices architectures on cloud platforms **Microservices Architecture:** - Strong expertise in building and managing microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Netflix (Eureka, Hystrix, Zuul, Ribbon), and REST/GraphQL APIs - Experience with inter-service communication using Eventgrid,gRPC or Kafka **Performance Optimization:** - Proven experience in profiling, monitoring, and optimizing applications for performance using tools like JMeter, Java Flight Recorder - Expertise in JVM tuning, memory management, and SQL query optimization **DevOps Practices and CI/CD:** - Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including: - - CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, GCP Cloud Build - Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS). - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible - Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk **Database and Data Storage:** - Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server). - Experience with NoSQL and caching technologies and/or hyperscaler-native options **Code Reviews and Best Practices:** - Expertise in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry-standard best practices - Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and maintainable code using tools like SonarQube or PMD for static code analysis **API Management and Security:** - Experience in designing and managing APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, or API Gateway - Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and SAML **System Architecture and Design:** - Experience producing architecture/design artifacts (diagrams, decision logs) using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or ArchiMate - Strong experience in architecting scalable, distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD) **Leadership and Communication** - Provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief their results to client stakeholders - Responsible for cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications for cloud - Build meaningful relationship with clients - Publish whitepapers / point of views and act as an evangelist to the Deloitte brand - Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements - Contributes significantly towards leading initiatives for development and maintenance of tools, methods, and offerings in the area of specialization Identifies and builds productivity and efficiency drivers which substantially influence during sales pitch and become key criteria for winning new projects in the specialty area **The team:** Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise.
