Position Summary **Level:** Associate Architect As a Specialist Senior(App Architecture), you will support and lead defined workstreams to design and deliver modern, scalable, secure applications for Fortune 1000 clients. Your work may include new application builds, application modernization, cloud/hybrid adoption, platform engineering, and multi-region deployments. You’ll contribute to target-state architecture, drive engineering quality within your scope, and deliver design inputs and POCs to enable operational readiness and continuous optimization. **Work you’ll do:** Lead architectural discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on the overall business and technical architecture. Prepare and own the technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities from an architectural perspective. Develop solutions that align with established architectural designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create, enforce, and continuously improve technical design and development guides, templates, and architectural standards. Facilitate ARB meetings, manage architectural deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed architectural reviews of deliverables and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment. Design templates, frameworks, or scripts to automate and standardize routine development or operational tasks, supporting architectural consistency and efficiency. **Technical Proficiencies** **Expertise in .NET:** - Strong proficiency in .NET, with a focus on ASP.NET Core for building web APIs and services - Extensive experience in developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using .NET **Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP):** - Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on one or more hyperscalers: - - AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation - Azure: App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Blob Storage, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) - GCP: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Deployment Manager/Terraform - Proficiency in designing and deploying microservices architectures on cloud platforms **Microservices Architecture:** - Strong expertise in building and managing microservices using ASP.NET Core, with resilience libraries like Polly, and developing REST and GraphQL APIs - Experience with inter-service communication using Eventgrid,gRPC or Kafka **Performance Optimization:** - Proven experience in profiling, monitoring, and optimizing applications for performance using tools like dotnet-trace, dotnet-counters, and Visual Studio's Diagnostic Tools - Expertise in .NET runtime (CLR) performance tuning, memory management (garbage collection), and SQL query optimization **DevOps Practices and CI/CD:** - Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including: - - CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, GCP Cloud Build - Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible - Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk **Database and Data Storage:** - Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) - Experience with NoSQL and caching technologies and/or hyperscaler-native options **Code Reviews and Best Practices:** - Expertise in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry-standard best practices - Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and maintainable code using tools like SonarQube or PMD for static code analysis **API Management and Security:** - Experience in designing and managing APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, or API Gateway - Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and SAML **System Architecture and Design:** - Experience producing architecture/design artifacts (diagrams, decision logs) using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or ArchiMate - Strong experience in architecting scalable, distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD) **Continuous Learning and Collaboration:** - Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in .NET and cloud-native technologies - Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to ensure alignment and deliver high-quality solutions **The team:** Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation, and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise.
