You will utilize your expertise in writing code in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 application development for LUW to design, develop, and test database applications. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design Database Applications: Design efficient, secure, and reliable database applications that meet the required specifications, utilizing your knowledge of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL programming. • Develop Database Code: Write high-quality code in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 for LUW, ensuring database applications are functional and meet performance expectations. • Test and Optimize: Test and optimize database applications to ensure they are running efficiently, securely, and meeting the required specifications. • Ensure Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust database designs and adhering to best practices in database development. • Collaborate on Solution Delivery: Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver database solutions that meet business requirements and align with organizational goals. **Required technical and professional expertise** • RDBMS Development Expertise: Experience with designing, developing, and testing database applications for various platforms, including Linux, Unix, and Windows, utilizing PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 application development for LUW. • Database Concept Knowledge: Experience with database concepts, data modeling, and SQL programming, with the ability to apply this knowledge to create efficient, secure, and reliable database applications. • Code Development Skills: Experience writing high-quality code in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and DB2 for LUW, with a focus on functionality and performance expectations. • Database Testing and Optimization: Experience testing and optimizing database applications to ensure efficiency, security, and adherence to required specifications. • Database Design and Security: Experience with robust database designs and best practices in database development to ensure data integrity and security. **Preferred technical and professional experience** • Data Modeling Expertise: Experience with data modeling concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge to create efficient and reliable database applications. This includes understanding data relationships, entity-relationship diagrams, and data normalization. • Advanced SQL Programming: Experience with advanced SQL programming concepts, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures. This includes the ability to write complex SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues. • Cross-Platform Development: Experience with developing database applications for multiple platforms, including Linux, Unix, and Windows. This includes understanding platform-specific considerations and adapting code to meet these requirements.
