Application Support Engineer

Job description

Application & Microservices Support •    Strong troubleshooting skills in microservices based architecture •    Hands on experience with application upgrades, deployments, and release management •    Ability to analyze logs and identify root causes in distributed systems Middleware & Runtime Technologies •    Working knowledge and operational experience with middleware platforms such as:  o    Tomcat o    Tomee o    WebLogic Cloud & DevOps Technologies •    Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms:  o    Microsoft Azure o    Amazon Web Services (AWS) •    Experience with cloud native and DevOps services, including:  o    GitHub o    CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity) o    Containers & orchestration (Docker, AKS) o    Helm o    Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) o    Argo CD Operating Systems & Databases •    Strong Unix/Linux knowledge •    Foundational database knowledge, including:  o    Writing and executing basic SQL queries o    Data validation and analysis Scripting & Automation •    Hands on experience with scripting languages:  o    Shell scripting o    Python o    PowerShell Migration & Modernization •    Experience supporting or executing on premises to cloud migration initiatives •    Understanding of migration challenges, dependencies, and post migration support Monitoring & Incident Management •    Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as:  o    SolarWinds o    Dynatrace o    AppDynamics •    Strong incident tracking and coordination skills using:  o    JIRA o    ServiceNow
