You will leverage your extensive experience to drive innovation, optimize processes, and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, focusing on site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. # **Responsibilities** - Design and implement scalable, reusable infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC frameworks. - Build and maintain modular, version-controlled infrastructure templates to ensure consistency across environments. - Enable self-service infrastructure provisioning for development teams. - Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Go to streamline provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows. - Automate account vending, environment setup, and access controls to reduce manual intervention. - Continuously identify and eliminate repetitive operational tasks through automation. - Design, deploy, and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or similar platforms). - Build and maintain scalable, secure Kubernetes clusters for production environments. - Implement best practices for container orchestration, resource management, and workload isolation. - Integrate infrastructure and application deployments into CI/CD pipelines. - Enable reliable, repeatable deployments through automated pipelines and infrastructure-as-code. - Improve deployment speed and reduce failure rates through standardized processes. - Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability of platform services. - Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system health. - Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure and workloads. - Embed security best practices into infrastructure and deployment pipelines (DevSecOps approach). - Manage IAM roles, secrets, and access controls securely. - Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. - Build internal platforms and tools that improve developer productivity and reduce friction. - Provide documentation, guidelines, and support for teams using the platform. - Act as a bridge between development and operations teams. - Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to control costs. - Implement efficient scaling strategies and resource allocation policies. - Recommend cost-saving improvements without compromising performance. # **Qualifications we seek in you!** ### **Minimum Qualifications** - Relevant years of hands-on experience as a Platform Engineer - Strong experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar for provisioning and managing scalable cloud environments. - Proficiency in **automation and scripting** using languages like Python, Bash, or Go to streamline infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows. - Hands-on experience with **containerization technologies** such as Docker. - Solid working knowledge of **Kubernetes** (preferably AWS EKS or similar managed services) for deploying and managing containerized applications. - Familiarity
