Headquartered in Hyderabad and catering to schools across India and the Middle East, Next Education emphasizes 21st-century skills, innovative learning strategies, and integrated SaaS platforms that enable effective and transparent school management. **Role Description** The Area Academic Trainer – Computer Science will provide on-site academic training and support to schools in and around Chennai. In this full-time role, the trainer will conduct workshops and classroom demonstrations for computer science educators, ensuring effective implementation of Next Education’s digital products and curricula. Responsibilities include planning and delivering training sessions, mentoring teachers on best practices in computer science pedagogy, collecting feedback from school stakeholders, and collaborating with the academic and product teams to improve training content. The trainer will also assist schools with onboarding to Next Education solutions, monitor usage and learning outcomes, and prepare concise reports and updates for internal teams. **Qualifications** - Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals and K–12 computing curricula, including programming basics, algorithms, and digital literacy. - Experience in classroom teaching or academic training, preferably in school education or edtech environments. - Ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations tailored to varied educator skill levels. - Comfort with educational technology platforms, digital content, and SaaS-based solutions used in schools. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with teachers and school administrators. - Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to plan training schedules and manage multiple school engagements. - Willingness to travel within the Chennai region for on-site trainings and school visits. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field; a teaching qualification or B.Ed. is an advantage. - Experience with CBSE, ICSE, or state board school systems and familiarity with 21st-century skills and modern pedagogy is highly beneficial.
