Role: **AS400\\_COBOL** Experience: 4 to12 yrs Location: PAN India /Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad As an AS400 Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining and enhancing applications on AS400 platform. **Key Responsibilities** - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements. - Designing, coding, testing, and debugging AS400 applications ensuring high-quality software deliverables. - Developing and optimizing COBOL and CL programs using DDS. - Supporting application integration and data exchange with other systems. **Skills/experience required:** - Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. - Understanding software version control systems like ALDON, THENON, IMPLEMENTOR, TURNOVER. - Mentor AS/400 developers in design, development, and maintenance. - Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyse requirements for AS/400 application development and enhancement. - Write efficient and well-structured code to implement business logic and functionality on AS400 platform. - Perform unit testing to ensure the quality of developed applications. - Maintain and enhance existing AS/400 applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing bug fixes and optimizing performance. - Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals. - Review code by other developers and provide feedback. - Propose new solutions to modify existing business process for efficient and better performance. **Technical skills** - COBOL, CL - DB2/400, SQL, WRKQRY - Screen Design using SDA. - Design Printer files.
