Job description

As the Fees Operations Specialist- you will: Perform detailed analysis and problem resolution of complex fee calculations through understanding of performance attributes, portfolio returns, benchmark indices, market values, and cash flow data. Maintain knowledge of Investment Management fee terms and structures for each account in order to concisely articulate each calculation with Investor Specialist and Client Service Managers while obtaining approvals to finalize fee calculations. Manage the IM (Investment Management) fee client account workflow from onboarding, fee calculation, analysis, review, and invoice distribution Identify automated fee calculation structures and develop UTs for manual calculation structures as required. Develop relationships Client Service Managers and key offshore stakeholders to align with Fee Operations. Interpret fee agreement language and understand the requirements before calculating an invoice Development & maintain risk and control framework for performance fee calculations and required UTs Identify automation opportunities and contribute to technology builds to create an industrialized support model for management fees. As member of the team, you will also learn, manage, and have ownership for other areas of asset management fee types, analysis, calculations, and team functions. Qualifications: • 3 to 6 years experience in Finance, Accounting, Operations or similar work experience • Financial Services Industry knowledge including investment products, mutual funds, and regulatory rules is desired. • Bachelor’s Degree required with advanced degree(s) a plus (MBA, CFA, or CPA) • Strong Analytical acumen and Data Mining Skills • Experience with fee agreement interpretation and performance fee structures a plus. • Strong Technical Competencies including excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications • Results oriented with an attention to details, controls, and thrives on challenges • Liaise with management and communicates clear and succinct ideas at an appropriate level • Interprets issues and escalate to management and key stakeholders proposed resolution plans • Ability to consistently deliver results independently and identify when to seek assistance or escalate • Eager to learn and seeks out opportunities to enhance skills for themselves and team members • Deals comfortably with ambiguity and uncertainty and has the ability to create clarity and consensus • Comfortable working with multiple functions across regions and time differences • Team player with ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels and across functions in a collaborative manner in order to achieve results, as well as ability to manage prioritization • Strong Technical Competencies: • Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications • Strong Analytical/Data Mining Skills
