**Position Overview** - **Designation:** Assistant Branch Head - **Work Location:** Tezpur, Assam - **Working Days:** Monday to Saturday - **Experience Required:** 3 5 Years in Logistics / Express Courier **Job Summary** The Assistant Branch Head will be responsible for managing daily delivery, pick-up, and reverse pick-up (RVP) activities across the Tezpur network. Working closely with Shift Supervisors and Delivery Management Centers (DMCs), you will take ownership of first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile execution, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), same-day delivery metrics, system accuracy, and Cash on Delivery (COD) remittances. **Key Responsibilities** **1. First & Last Mile Operations** - Oversee daily delivery, e-commerce parcels, forward pick-ups, and reverse logistics (RVP). - Manage load transits between airport hubs, apex locations, and the local branch, ensuring strict adherence to defined Turnaround Times (TAT). - Handle special/premium timebound consignments (PTP) with high operational care. - Oversee route planning, consignment staging, and optimized vehicle loading to streamline offloading along routes. **2. System Integrity & Data Management** - Enforce 100% real-time tracking updates on SmartTrack and core operational systems (FDM / BDM status codes both on-system and on-floor). - Actively monitor and clear pending shipments, ensuring daily resolution and closure of CRM tickets and customer escalations. **3. Financial Accountability & Compliance** - Ensure daily reconciliation, prompt deposit, and remittance of Cash on Delivery (COD) collections. - Guarantee 100% daily submission and verification of Proof of Delivery (POD). - Manage Business Associate (BA) billing and operational quality compliance. **4. Fleet & Performance Oversight** - Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle logs, tracking up/down kilometers in coordination with drivers. - Drive key operational metrics including DSL performance and DEPS control across the region. **Desired Candidate Profile** - **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. - **Experience:** 4–5 years of core hands-on operational experience in logistics, express courier, 3PL, e-commerce delivery, or transportation. - **Technical Skills:** Sound knowledge of ground logistics, linehaul coordination, hub operations, and dispatch tracking software. - **Competencies:** Strong data-backed decision-making, excellent team management, resilience in handling customer escalations, and strong communication skills.
