Assistant Dispatch Manager

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Manage end-to-end dispatch operations including planning, scheduling, and execution • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams for timely order fulfillment • Ensure accurate documentation (invoice, e-way bill, packing list, GRN, etc.) • Monitor daily dispatch targets and ensure adherence to delivery timelines • Optimize vehicle utilization and route planning to reduce logistics cost • Handle transporter/vendor coordination and negotiation • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company dispatch protocols • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues • Maintain dispatch records, MIS reports, and performance dashboards • Lead and supervise dispatch team, including manpower planning and shift management Preferred candidate profile • Strong knowledge of dispatch, logistics, and warehouse operations • Experience in documentation like e-way bills, invoicing, and compliance • Good coordination and stakeholder management skills • Analytical mindset for cost optimization and efficiency improvement • Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems • Problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure
