Job Description - -------------- We are seeking an Assistant Manager for our Business Analytics (BA) Data Platform team. In this role, you will play a key part in leading and managing the data platform operations, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and the effective use of analytics tools across the organization. You will be responsible for optimizing the BA Data Platform infrastructure, working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and evolution of our data platform and analytics capabilities. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * **Platform Management:**Oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of the BA Data Platform. Ensure the platform is optimized for performance, scalability, and security, supporting the organization's analytics needs. * **Data Governance:**Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry standards. Monitor and resolve data integrity issues across various systems. * **Business Collaboration:**Work with business units to gather requirements, understand analytics needs, and translate them into actionable data solutions. Ensure alignment of the data platform with business objectives and analytics strategies. * **Team Leadership:**Lead a team of analysts and developers in maintaining and enhancing the data platform. Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to ensure the team remains aligned with best practices in data management and analytics. * **Process Optimization:**Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data workflows, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention. Introduce innovative solutions to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities. * **Reporting \& Analytics:**Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards, providing business leaders with real-time insights into platform performance and business metrics. * **Stakeholder Communication:**Communicate complex technical concepts and data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Provide regular updates on platform performance, new features, and upcoming improvements. * **Vendor \& Tool Management:**Evaluate, select, and manage third-party tools, platforms, and vendors to enhance the capabilities of the BA Data Platform. Ensure tools are integrated seamlessly and deliver value to the business. ### **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred). * 4-6 years of experience in business analytics, data platform management, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. * Strong knowledge of data platform architecture, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and data warehousing solutions. * Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar, and proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets. * Understanding of data governance, data quality, and best practices for managing enterprise data. * Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead data-centric projects from concept to implementation. **Preferred Skills:** * Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. * Experience with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis and automation. * Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile).
