Job description

**Responsibilities** - Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans covering civil engineering aspects including site preparation, foundation works, structural elements, and finishing activities, ensuring timely delivery within allocated budgets. - Coordination and Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the design team, contractors, vendors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, technical specifications, and schedules. - Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement rigorous quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and enforce adherence to national and international codes and standards as well as environmental and safety regulations. - Resource Management: Efficiently manage manpower, materials, and machinery on site to maximize productivity and optimize resource utilization while minimizing wastage. - Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor project expenditure, analyze variances, and prepare regular progress reports to senior management, recommending corrective actions when necessary. - Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential civil engineering risks during all phases of the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted progress. - Contract Management: Support procurement and contract administration activities, review contractor submissions, and ensure contractual obligations are met as per company policies. - Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and adherence to Adani’s values of ownership and excellence. - Sustainability and Innovation: Promote sustainable construction practices and encourage innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes while minimizing environmental impact. - Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and reinforce Adani’s commitment to social responsibility. Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master’s degree is an advantage. Certification Required - Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred. - Relevant safety and quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) will be an added advantage. Behavioural Skills - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and motivate teams. - Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities. - Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude. - High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to Adani’s core values. - Adaptability to dynamic environments and openness to continuous learning. Technical Skills - Deep knowledge of civil engineering design and construction principles specific to power and energy infrastructure. - Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent. - Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other civil engineering design tools. - Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and structural analysis. - Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable construction methods. - Competency in preparation and evaluation of technical specifications, drawings, and reports. Non-Negotiable Skills - Project Management Expertise - Strong Civil Engineering Technical Knowledge - Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management **Qualifications** Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master’s degree is an advantage. **Experience** 6-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the power/energy industry.
