**Position Overview** *Department*: Asset Management Operations Collateral & Derivatives Support *Location*: Chennai, India *Business Line*: Asset Management – Collateral & Derivatives Support (ISPL) The Collateral & Derivatives Support Processor owns the endtoend capture, processing, reconciliation and control of daily collateral movements and OTCderivative transactions. The role ensures accurate trade capture, timely settlement, robust collateral management and full compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., EMIR, CSA/ISDA, GMRA). **Job Responsibilities** **Core duties** - Capture and process daily collateral movements (cash, securities, guarantees). - Execute margin calls, collateral sweeps and substitutions in line with CSA/ISDA/GMRA agreements. - Monitor and resolve mismatches between internal records and external custodians/clearing houses. - Reconcile collateral balances across internal systems (Aladdin) and external sources (custodians, CCPs). - Produce daily/weekly collateral status reports for FrontOffice, Risk and Finance. - Escalate and investigate unapplied payments, valuation discrepancies or broken trades. - Ensure all processing complies with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR). - Maintain audit trails and support internal/external audit inquiries. - Perform exception checks (insufficient collateral, eligibility breaches). - Contribute to the development and monitoring of control matrices and SOPs. - Liaise with FrontOffice traders, risk managers, legal, external counterparties and external service providers; oversee provider performance through KPIs and controls. - Respond to client queries regarding collateral eligibility, settlement status and documentation. **Required Education** - Graduation or PostGraduation from a recognized university, preferably with a major in **Finance** or a closely related discipline. **Skills & Experience (MustHave)** *Technical Skills* - Precise dataentry and verification; strong attention to detail. - Understanding of collateral types (cash, government bonds, OTC instruments, repos, letters of credit). - Familiarity with collateralmanagement platforms and tradelifecycle systems (e.g., BlackRock **Aladdin**, **TriOptima**). - Good grasp of financial markets, instruments and products (equities, bonds, derivatives, FX). - Ability to perform detailed reconciliations, variance analysis and numerical calculations. - Knowledge of marginregulations (EMIR, Uncleared Margin Rules) and the investmentbanking trade lifecycle. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). *Behavioral Competencies* - Effective communication with internal teams and external clients. - Innovation, initiativetaking and problemsolving attitude. - Flexibility & adaptability; willingness to work any shift pattern. - High integrity, trust and fairness. - Riskaware mindset with strong process discipline. - Team player, good timemanagement and ability to work under pressure. *Other Requirements* - Willingness to work in any shift as required by the business. **Preferred Education, Skills & Experience (NicetoHave)** - **Professional certifications** such as CFA, FRM, CAIA or PRMIA. - A master’s degree (MSc) in Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Quantitative Finance, Economics or a related field. - 12years of prior experience in collateral management, derivatives operations, clearing house or custody environments, preferably within a global assetmanagement firm or investment bank. - Handson experience with additional collateralmanagement tools (e.g., MarkitCollateral, KYC360) or OTCvaluation engines (Murex, Calypso, BloombergTradeOrder). - Practical knowledge of EMIR reporting, MiFIDII margin requirements or other relevant regulatory frameworks. - Basic programming or scripting ability (SQL, Python, VBA) to automate dataextraction or reconciliation tasks. - Familiarity with projectmanagement and documentation tools such as JIRA or Confluence for SOP and controlmatrix updates. - Fluency in an additional language (French, German, Mandarin, etc.) that can aid communication with crossborder counterparties. - Experience working in a 247 operational setting with shifthandover procedures. - Demonstrated ability to lead small processimprovement initiatives or workstream projects.
