From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.  About the role: Responsible for leading and ensuring effective implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), statutory compliance, process safety, environmental sustainability, government liaisoning, contractor safety, and risk management programs across the manufacturing site in compliance with company standards and applicable Indian and Karnataka regulations. To lead and drive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) excellence across the manufacturing site by ensuring statutory compliance, effective risk management, environmental sustainability, process safety, government liaisoning, and implementation of robust safety systems to protect people, assets, operations, and the environment. Qualifications & Experience • Regular bachelor’s degree in /Mechanical/Civil /Environmental with Post Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a reputed institute  • 7 to 10 years of work experience preferred. Recommendations Expected ·       Ensure safe working practices and stop any unsafe activity at site. ·       Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and company EHS requirements. ·       Coordinate emergency response, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations. ·       Manage contractor safety, work permits, and implementation of safety procedures. ·       Coordinate with government authorities for inspections, approvals, and statutory compliance. ·       Monitor waste management, ETP/STP operations, and environmental compliance activities. ·       Suggest improvements to enhance workplace safety and reduce risks. ·       Recommend actions to address compliance gaps and improve EHS performance. ·       Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid repeat incidents. ·       Suggest better safety controls, training programs, and awareness initiatives. ·       Recommend actions for timely closure of observations and maintaining good regulatory compliance. ·       Recommend sustainability, waste reduction, and environmental improvement initiatives. ·       Support effective utilization of the EHS budget related to safety initiatives, statutory compliance, training programs, PPEs, emergency equipment, waste management, environmental monitoring, audits, and maintenance of safety systems. Monitor EHS-related operational expenses and support cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety and compliance standards. ·       Manage EHS operations in a manufacturing environment involving multiple operational areas, contractors, regulatory requirements, hazardous activities, environmental compliance obligations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires handling complex statutory compliance, government liaisoning, process safety risks, emergency preparedness, contractor management, and sustainability requirements while ensuring alignment with company standards and Karnataka regulatory expectations. ·       Lead and drive the overall Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, governance, and compliance framework for the manufacturing site in alignment with company standards and applicable Karnataka statutory requirements. ·       Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations including the Factories Act, Karnataka Factories Rules, Environment Protection Act, Water & Air Acts, Hazardous Waste Rules, PESO regulations, Fire Safety norms, Electrical Safety regulations, Occupational Health standards, and Karnataka Labour Department requirements. ·       Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities including DISH, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Fire Department, PESO, Labour Department, and local statutory authorities. ·       Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of all statutory licenses, approvals, consents, permits, Fire NOCs, hazardous waste authorizations, and environmental clearances. ·       Lead preparation and submission of statutory returns, environmental statements, compliance reports, and regulatory documentation within defined timelines. ·
