**Job Title:** Assistant Manager – Financial Security Quality Assurance **Department** : India COE Compliance Hub **About Business line/Function:** India COE Compliance Hub as a department was established in November 2013 at ISPL in Mumbai, India with the hire of a department head. The ISPL team provides support on compliance administrative level tasks to BNPP compliance teams globally. **Position Purpose:** India COE Compliance Hub is focused to protect the reputation of the Group and effectively manage risk across all business areas by providing support to various Compliance functions. At present the department is broadly organized into divisions which embed into the areas they support to provide services for Global Compliance Training, Capital Markets Surveillance, Electronic Communication Surveillance, Transversal Risk Management (TRM), Compliance Migrations Co-Ordination, Personal Account Dealing, MIS and Projects support. The team works closely with business partners in CIB and the wider group. The role is related to Financial Security Quality Assurance team within India COE Compliance Hub. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Assess metrics to identify and pull relevant samples for Quality Assurance reviews related to AML investigations conducted on activities in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. - Conduct monthly targeted AML and Sanctions Quality Assurance reviews under the direction of the Head of the Quality Assurance team in order to assess and review compliance with legal, regulatory and internal firm policy requirements in an attempt to identify, report and prevent money-laundering, terrorist financing and market abuse activity within BNPP’s region operations. - Escalate potential issues and exception items noted during the review process to the Head of FIU, QA Manager and local Latam Financial Security teams for discussion and further investigation if deemed necessary. - Prepare and distribute monthly QA reports to management detailing the QA review findings and recommendations. Periodically report on significant activities conducted and planned for the upcoming period. - Ensure that all findings and recommendations are entered into the Quality Assurance Reporting & Issue Tracker for tracking purposes and perform periodic follow-up of open issues to ensure proper resolution. - Assist in the development of the regional compliance QA review programs for specific business units and products based upon applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. - Conduct or assist with special investigations and projects as deemed necessary by Financial Security Management. - Assist in compliance related matters during examinations by the firm’s regulators and internal auditors. - While primary focus of role is to conduct QA on Latam activities, responsibilities also include being cross trained on all regional QA program streams (inclusive of United States and Canada programs spanning AML and Sanctions investigations) in order to assist on spikes in volume within QA reviews and/or to provide additional coverage as needed. - Act as the senior‑level subject‑matter expert for AML, KYC and sanctions QA reviews covering Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Review and approve the associate‑level sample lists before work begins. - Independently conduct the majority of monthly AML & Sanctions QA reviews for the LATAM region, applying deep knowledge of local regulations and internal policies - Identify and prioritize high‑severity or exception items. - Identify opportunities to streamline QA processes (e.g., template enhancements, automation of data pulls). Build business cases and present them to the AVP for approval and resource allocation. - Participate in (and occasionally lead) quarterly QA huddles, case‑study reviews, and regional sessions. - Maintain up‑to‑date work‑papers, case notes, and reference guides that meet audit‑ready standards. Contributing Responsibilities - Comply with procedure and other relevant policies/ procedures of BNP Paribas group and regulations, and industry best practice. - Collaborate and work in tandem with team members and relevant stakeholders - Be supportive and adoptive to changes of procedures and scope of work **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience with a financial services firm and/or self-regulatory organization in a Financial Security (AML, KYC and/or Sanctions) position or within an audit/testing function of Financial Security; - Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, Sanctions, banking regulations (notably Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico). Additional knowledge of PATRIOT Act, AML Reform Act, OFAC / Sanctions (EU/UN/French Sanctions programs) and/or securities and banking regulations is a plus. Language fluency in Spanish and Portuguese a must. - Ability to manage multiple compliance reviews and projects at the same time and meet timely deadlines. - Ability to apply knowledge of regulations to numerous types of trading activities and operational arrangements in addition to interpreting the effect of new regulations and internal procedural standards on these activities. - Ability to translate new regulatory pronouncements into actionable QA test scripts and SOP updates. **Specific Qualifications** Audit experience or qualifications in finance ACAMS and/or financial crime certification equivalent a plus **Technical Skills** **Skills Referential** **(** **Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** - Fundamental analytical and investigative skills. - Strong root‑cause analysis, risk‑based thinking, and ability to recommend pragmatic remediation. - Familiarity with transaction monitoring and screening tools (Actimize) - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.Skill 3 **Behavioral Skills** - Strong written and oral presentation skills. - Self-motivated, willingness to learn and a desire to work in a challenging work environ
