Performance Note Preparation** - Job-wise Revenue Recognition, Margin, Billing & Collection - Monitor and ensure accurate revenue recognition for each project/job in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. - Analyze project profitability by tracking gross margin and contribution margin at the job level. - Review customer billing schedules and ensure timely invoicing as per contract milestones. - Track accounts receivable, follow up with customers for collections, and minimize overdue outstanding balances. - Provide regular reports on revenue, margin performance, billing status, and collection efficiency to management. - Monitor and optimize working capital components, including receivables, payables, inventory, and advances. - Analyze cash conversion cycles and identify opportunities to improve liquidity. - Coordinate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure efficient utilization of working capital. - Develop strategies to reduce fund blockage and improve overall cash flow management. - Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts based on business requirements and project schedules. - Monitor actual cash flows against projections and identify variances. - Ensure adequate liquidity for operational and project needs while minimizing financing costs. - Prepare and analyze Net Cash Flow (NCF) reports for management decision-making. - Support treasury activities related to cash planning, banking, and fund management. - Monitor project financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. - Review project budgets, costs, commitments, and resource utilization to ensure profitability. - Work closely with project managers to identify risks, cost overruns, and corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with approved budgets and project financial controls. - Track project milestones and support management with timely financial insights. - Perform detailed analysis of actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. - Investigate significant variances in revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, and overheads. - Identify root causes of deviations and recommend corrective actions. - Present variance analysis reports to management with actionable insights for performance improvement. - Prepare annual overhead budgets in alignment with business objectives. - Monitor departmental and corporate overhead expenses against approved budgets. - Analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities. - Ensure proper allocation and control of indirect costs across projects and business units. - Support management in maintaining operational efficiency through effective cost control measures. - Prepare and monitor capital expenditure budgets for new investments and ongoing projects. - Evaluate Capex proposals through financial analysis, ROI, and payback assessments. - Track actual capital spending against approved budgets. - Ensure compliance with company approval processes and capitalization policies. - Provide management with regular updates on capital project status and utilization. - Calculate and account for overhead recovery based on established allocation methodologies. - Ensure accurate booking of overhead costs to projects, departments, or cost centers. - Reconcile recovered overheads with actual expenses and analyze recovery variances. - Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost allocation and recovery. - Review and record provisions for Goods in Transit (GIT), subcontractor liabilities, and accrued overhead expenses. - Ensure all costs are recognized in the appropriate accounting period following accrual accounting principles. - Validate supporting documentation and estimates for provision calculations. - Coordinate with procurement, project, and finance teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of provisions. - Monitor provision reversals and adjustments in subsequent accounting periods. - Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual performance notes for management review. - Summarize key financial and operational performance indicators, including revenue, profitability, cash flow, and project status. - Highlight significant variances, key achievements, challenges, and risk areas. - Provide meaningful business insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. - Present management reports and dashboards with clear commentary on business performance and future outlook.
