**Job Title: Assistant Manager** **Department** : Global Markets IT **About Business Line/Function** Global Markets The Global Markets business of BNP Paribas helps its corporate and institutional clients leverage capital markets across the globe for their financing, risk management and investment needs. This encompasses a wide range of financial products ranging from foreign exchange to complex Equity Derivatives that are traded in financial markets across the globe 24/7. IT systems are integral to the business and are a key part of the value proposition to clients. These IT systems range from industry standard products for standard process automation to internally developed, often market leading IT applications. The IT teams owning these IT systems are made up of functions that include Technical and Application production support, Business Analysis & Project Management, Development & Maintenance and Quality Control. BNP Paribas India Solutions is an equal partner in these IT functions along with colleagues in other locations including Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore & Hong Kong. This partnership ranges from sharing the IT workload, executing global strategy to owning global applications offshore. The technology and engineering landscape is wide, encompassing almost all techniques and platforms. It continues to evolve and transform with the market with the business continuing to invest in it. Client Reporting - REVAL REVAL is a client reporting application. Daily& periodic reporting comprises of revaluation, Dodd-Frank reporting, EMIR reporting, Clearing & Execution function and Billing/invoices. **Position Purpose** A technical expert having expertise in DotNet & database technologies, who has experience ranging from Database Design/Development, Windows and Web Application, Object Oriented Design/Development, who can develop and maintain the application as well as mentor junior team members. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - To establish detailed program specifications through discussion with business analysts and end users - To be aware of nonfunctional requirements, ensure that implemented code is robust, maintainable, secure and efficient. - To clarify precisely what actions the program is intended to perform when there is ambiguity - To devise solutions to problems, evaluate and provide options as a technical lead - To work as a team to design and develop parts of the system - To improve existing software implementations by enhancing features, fixing bugs - To be aware of the business domain the software is being created for - To follow technical architecture standards where applicable - To work closely with testers and business analysts to ensure software functions as expected - To be involved in support if a major problem in production arises, identify root cause and fix the issues as per priority - To participate in out-of-hours / daytime support as required - To escalate risks / issues to IT management - To mentor junior members of the team. - To conduct code review session with fellow team members Contributing Responsibilities - Create technical specification documents, architectural diagrams, technical flow charts - Maintain support and technical documentation in the form of wiki and SharePoint - Participate in Agile Ceremonies and contribute actively **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** **Must Have** Expertise in SQL Server, C#, OOPs, Web API, WCF, .Net Core, NHibernate, LINQ, Microservice Architecture, Angular2+ - Good understanding of Relational databases and should be able to use SQL. - Good understanding of technical designing and architectural fitment. - Curiosity and analysis skills and willingness to learn. - Excellent communication skills. - Quality-focused with a good eye for detail. - Capacity to work in a high-pressure environment. - Must be able to work closely with distributed teams. - Creativity and Problem-solving attitude. - People focus. - Innovative mindset. **Nice To Have Technical Skills** - Exposure to Capital markets - Have understanding of Azure, ETL/ELT processes, Data analysis, and data science. - Openness to learn and adapt new technologies - Agile Development / Scrum Methodologies - Test Driven Development (TDD) – Unit testing - Continuous integration: TeamCity/Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Sonar - Angular2+, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS **Specific Qualifications** B.E. / B.
