**Department** : Asset Management – Investment Operations **About Business line/Function:** Asset Management – Valuation team **Position Purpose** You, as a member of Valuation team, will be responsible for the daily monitoring controls, validation & publication of prices for all instruments. you will provide effective support to internal and external clients. Understand the valuation (prices / Mark to Market + analytics) process of all kinds of financial instruments. Make sure that the pricing strategy is fully applied. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities **Listed Instruments Pricing** This team is responsible for controlling and updating the price of Listed Securities to enable the portfolio managers, fund accountants ,Reporting teams and others to ascertain the market value of the securities as a part of portfolio management, fund valuation (NAV) and reporting activity. **This Includes** - Monitor and validate prices and analytics received by providers for all instruments. - Compute and publish prices to downstream systems and external entities. - Investigate and analyse any strange value (high/no fluctuation, inconsistency of the figures…). - Be critical of existing procedures and propose improvements where possible - Act proactively on any issue and provide the final users with consistent and structured answers. - Reconcile prices with the fund administrators. - Follow-up of daily activity via accurate Reporting and Dashboards (Key Performance Indicator, stale price report...). - Produce accurate financial data on request and report independently with minimal supervision. Pricing activity is carried out across APAC & EMEA regions. **OTC Instruments’ Pricing** The team is responsible for controlling the valuation (Mark To Market + analytics) of all OTC instruments. On top of this, you ensure daily support for production of OTC valuation /controls and provide support to business (Front Office, Risk...) and set up the OTC instruments in the database. Lastly, you are charged with the counterparty valuation comparison as a legal requirement to test the accuracy of our valuation. **This Includes The Following Tasks** - Responsible for the accurate daily production of the OTC Prices: - Check of market data inputs from internal and external sources and ensure they are correctly updated - Collect valuations from counterparties - Obtain the internal calculation and run all the required price checks. - First level investigation of discrepancies in the pricing and explain the gaps using your knowledge of the models. - Ensure the delivery of the OTC prices to downstream systems and external clients (e.g. fund accountants). - Security Master: where needed, review the setup of instruments traded by front-office to enable correct valuations. - Follow up of any issue around OTC Prices and provide the end users with consistent and structured answers. Contributing Responsibilities - Process accurate security pricing on a Global basis within given deadlines. - Interact with both internal and external parties to resolve pricing issues and queries. - Query resolution in accordance with time frames set out in Client SLA’s - Performing a range of daily, weekly, monthly reporting’s/ controls to ensure completeness of processing. - Work with the Vendors and other parties to capture security prices. - Resolve pricing issues on a timely basis. - Expressing ideas effectively in individual and group situations. Adjusting communication style to match the needs of the audience. - Expressing ideas clearly in all written documents.
