Job description

**Key Roles & Responsibilities** 1. Receive materials, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical consumables, equipment, and general stores delivered by approved vendors. 2. Verify received items against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) for quantity, quality, batch details, and physical condition. 3. Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged items, or discrepancies to the Stores Supervisor and Procurement team for resolution. 4. Ensure proper unloading, labeling, segregation, and storage of received materials according to hospital storage guidelines. 5. Arrange stock systematically by category and maintain proper identification for easy retrieval. 6. Follow **FIFO (First In, First Out)** and **FEFO (First Expiry, First Out)** principles while storing and issuing inventory. 7. Assist in issuing medicines, consumables, surgical items, linen, stationery, and other supplies to various hospital departments based on approved requisitions. 8. Maintain inventory records accurately in the ERP/Hospital Information System (HIS) and update stock movements promptly. 9. Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor about low stock, near-expiry items, or slow-moving inventory. 10. Conduct routine stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy. 11. Identify, segregate, and report expired, damaged, recalled, or non-moving items as per hospital policies. 12. Maintain housekeeping standards, cleanliness, and safe storage practices within the Central Receiving Stores. 13. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, fire safety requirements, and occupational health and safety standards. 14. Coordinate with Procurement, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Finance, and user departments to ensure timely receipt and issue of materials. 15. Maintain all receiving, storage, issue, and inventory documentation accurately for audit and regulatory purposes. 16. Assist during internal audits, NABH assessments, and inventory inspections by providing accurate records and documentation. 17. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, storage efficiency, and material handling processes. 18. Perform any other store-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
