**Position Overview** - Lead the OTC‑valuation and trade‑booking team for the MFS‑OTC Derivatives business - Ensure all OTC trades are booked, priced and settled accurately and within the required deadlines - Oversee exception handling, root‑cause investigations, and documentation in line with BNP Paribas policies - Partner with front‑office, account managers, collateral teams, external vendors and Paris‑based counterparts to deliver a seamless “valuation‑to‑NAV” process - Provide people‑leadership, performance management and succession planning for the team **Job Responsibilities** **Team & Process Management** - Supervise daily activities, monitor performance and enforce compliance with SOPs. - Motivate, coach and develop team members; create a succession plan. - Document procedural deviations and ensure adherence to BNP Paribas policies. **Trade Booking & Instrument Setup** - Book client tickets in Calypso (MO application) following prescribed procedures. - Create new instruments by coordinating with the static‑data team. - Communicate with clients to resolve ticket‑related queries and meet booking deadlines. **Valuation & Pricing** - Process accurate OTC valuations on a global basis within SLA time‑frames. - Work with pricing vendors and counterparties to capture market prices. - Deliver clean pricing data to downstream systems (NAV calculation, collateral, trade repository, portfolio reconciliation). **Exception & Break Management** - Monitor email inboxes and exception queues; investigate and resolve trade‑related breaks. - Document investigations, evidence root causes and close tickets. - Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate processing teams or senior management. **Cash‑Flow & Settlement Liaison** - Coordinate with counterparties for cash‑flow settlement. - Liaise with the Paris OTC hub and internal teams to resolve settlement discrepancies. **Stakeholder Interaction & Reporting** - Provide trade notifications to third parties (e.g., fund trustees). - Respond to internal and external pricing/booking queries. - Report exceptions in line with internal control frameworks and client SLA requirements. **Continuous Improvement & Risk Management** - Identify operational‑risk areas within the OTC workflow and propose mitigations. - Contribute ideas for process optimisation, automation and best‑practice adoption. **Required Education, Skills & Experie *nce (Must‑Have)*** - Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline. - 5‑8 years of experience in OTC derivative operations (fund management, custody or global banking). - Hands‑on experience with OTC products such as IRS, CDS, CDX, OIS, inflation swaps, total‑return swaps, swaptions, options and forwards. - Demonstrated ability to lead a team and meet strict SLA deadlines. - Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) and strong Microsoft Office proficiency. - Proficiency in Calypso (MO application) for trade booking. - Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle: booking, corporate actions, settlement, collateral management, trade‑repository reporting. - Deep knowledge of OTC derivative market conventions and pricing. - Good grasp of accounting implications of derivatives (fair‑value, accruals, NAV impact). - Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (EMIR, Dodd‑Frank, COLVA). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritising multiple tasks under pressure. - Leadership, coaching and talent‑development capabilities. - Adaptability, creativity, critical thinking and a service‑oriented mindset. - Ability to identify operational‑risk areas and implement controls. - Experience coordinating with offshore/on‑shore teams across different time zones. **Preferred Education, Skills & Experi *ence (Nice‑to‑Have)*** - Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, PRMIA, or an IIF derivatives certification. - Experience with additional trade‑capture or valuation platforms (e.g., Murex, Openlink, Algorithmics). - Basic programming or scripting skills (Python, VBA) for data manipulation and automation. - Project‑management training or proven experience leading large‑scale change programmes (PMP, PRINCE2). - Direct involvement in regulatory reporting (EMIR Trade Repository, US Swap Reporting, etc.). - Advanced data‑analytics or visualisation skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). - Knowledge of collateral‑management systems (triOptima, Bloomberg Collateral Management, Murex Collateral). - Fluency in French (or another EU language) to facilitate interaction with the Paris hub and European counterparties. **BNP Paribas India Sol** utions – A wholly‑owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas SA, created in 2005.
