**Job Title:** Project Manager (Recon) **Department** : Business Solutions Unit **About Business line/Function:** Business Solutions Unit combines the best of traditional Lean methodologies and Digital solutions to streamline, enhance, transform business processes and to bring value to Stakeholders and or Client by way of improved efficiencies and risk management. BSU is a global team with presence in ~7 locations across the globe. **Position Purpose:** As part of the team growth, we look for strong Project Manager who can be seen as a benchmark in the Team & in the Organization and who can handle transformational projects involving global and senior stakeholders **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Ability to translate executive strategy into a concrete transformation charter. Produce a high‑level Scope Statement and a Transformation Blueprint (capability gaps, target operating model, value‑chain map). - Analyze and define suitable strategies and objectives. Work with sponsors and stakeholders to capture the business need, develop a clear Scope Statement, and create a Work‑Breakdown‑Structure (WBS). - Create a phased, multi‑year schedule that aligns sequencing of people, process, and technology changes. Identify critical‑path milestones (e.g., org‑design rollout, system go‑live, culture‑adoption campaigns). - Establish gate reviews that tie each phase to measurable readiness criteria. Estimate costs, prepare the budget, track actual spending, manage changes, and ensure the project stays within approved financial limits. - Manage project resources efficiently to deliver on time. Assign team members, monitor workload and resolve conflict - Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI. Produce status reports, hold regular steering‑committee or sponsor meetings, and keep all parties informed of progress, issues, and decisions. - Keeps the team aligned, surfaces blockers early, and feeds information into issue‑tracking and risk‑management processes. - Ensure Risks and Issues are managed proactively, and various transition deliverables are documented and signed off before go-live - Log issues, prioritize and resolve them, evaluate change requests against scope, schedule, and cost, and obtain formal approval before implementation. - Develop strong, positive, constructive relationships with multiple senior stakeholders - Ability to lead matrix teams to deliver high quality results and work in a fast paced and dynamic environment - Verify that all deliverables are accepted, obtain formal sign‑off, archive project artefacts, and conduct a post‑project review to capture best practices and improvement opportunities. Contributing Responsibilities - Ensure adherence to the Transition Methodology and Outsourcing Compliance for self and team - Contribute to building a world class Programme / Project Management discipline - Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods - Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles - Should have managed and led transitions in a similar setup (Securities Services) either in a captive / third party environment and transitioned Operations from overseas to India - Strong interpersonal communication and coaching skills, capable of explaining, teaching, training in a highly effective manner **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Proven Program/Project Management skills - Proven experience as a Project manager **Technical Skills** **Skills Referential (Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** - Proven Program/Project Management skills - Proven experience as a Project manager Specific Qualifications: **Behavioral Skills** - Personal Impact / Ability to influence - Ability to deliver / Results driven - Decision Making - Ability to collaborate / Teamwork **Education Level:** Master Degree or equivalent At least 12 years of work experience **Location:** Chennai **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
