Position: Associate Consultant/ Manger Consulting Expert -SME Finance ERP Consultant Experience: 12-18 years Category: Software Development/ Engineering Shift Timing: General Shift/Second Shift Location: Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai Position ID: J0626-0592 Employment Type: Full Time Position Description We are seeking an experienced SME Finance ERP Consultant to drive the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of Finance ERP solutions. The role requires strong expertise in core finance processes, ERP functional consulting, stakeholder management, and business process transformation. Your future duties and responsibilities • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Finance ERP modules including: o General Ledger (GL) o Accounts Payable (AP) o Accounts Receivable (AR) o Fixed Assets (FA) o Financial Reporting & P&L • • Participates in Industry forums or community groups. This would help understand the underlying business nuances or the future trends to help assist the ERP to react faster. • Mentoring and Grooming Business Analysts and SMEs in the team. • Work closely with Product Managers and internal stakeholders in identifying gaps, enhancements and priorities for the Product. • • Assisting Sales teams and other stake holders with demos, RFPs, product evaluations, prototypes, brainstorming’s activities • Should be able to advise alternative solutions and provide the trade-offs as well as the final recommendation. • • Ability to research across provinces or international markets to understand the variances or alignment from a global perspective • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements. • Conduct workshops and stakeholder discussions to identify process improvements and ERP enhancements. • Review functional designs, solution documents, and user stories to ensure alignment with business needs. • Collaborate with product, delivery, and technical teams on integrations, workflows, and solution implementation. • Support ERP implementations, testing, training, and post-go-live activities. • Provide functional guidance, mentor team members, and support pre-sales activities including demos and RFP responses. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Qualification- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA Finance (Preferred), 10 + years of relevant experience. Must-Have • 8–10+ years of Finance ERP consulting/implementation experience. • Strong functional expertise in AR, AP, GL, FA, Financial Reporting, and P&L processes. • Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and month-end/year-end closing activities. • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar. • Strong stakeholder management, business analysis, and communication skills. Good-to-Have • Experience in Government/Public Sector ERP projects. • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and change management practices. • ERP Finance certifications (SAP FICO, Oracle Financials, etc.). • Experience in product management, pre-sales, and solution consulting CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
