Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a passion for industrial data and analytics. This role focuses on developing robust data pipelines and analytics solutions for time-series data generated from heating, refrigeration, and process equipment. You will play a key role in transforming raw industrial data into actionable insights, supporting digital product development and operational excellence. **Responsibilities / Tasks** - Design, build, and maintain scalable **data pipelines (batch & streaming)** with a focus on **time-series data** from heating, refrigeration, and process equipment - Develop and operationalize **advanced analytics workflows** by integrating data from multiple industrial and enterprise sources - Work closely with **Data Analysts and Digital Product teams** to enable data-driven product features and insights - Contribute to and enhance the **GEA Cloud Analytics Platform** in collaboration with the Digital Hub - Ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines and platforms - Apply modern **software engineering practices** (version control, CI/CD, code reviews) - Actively participate in the **Data Engineering / Data Science Guild** to drive knowledge sharing and standardization - Build reusable, modular, and efficient data solutions using state-of-the-art tools **Your Profile / Qualifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics**, or a related field - **2–5 years of experience** in Data Engineering or related roles - Strong experience in building **robust and scalable data pipelines** - Hands-on experience with **Spark / Databricks** or similar big data frameworks - Strong programming skills in **Python and SQL** - Experience handling **time-series data, industrial IoT, or real-time analytics** (highly preferred) - Understanding of **data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture** - Familiarity with **Agile methodologies** and collaborative development - Strong communication skills with fluency in English **Did we spark your interest?** Then please click apply above to access our guided application process.
