Automation Engineer/IT Technology Consultant within CLE Agentic Delivery Backbone Productization shape the next level of GCO offerings by introducing technology topics like containerization or hyperscaler enablements into our automation tool chain. You will join a team of motivated individuals in a well-established broader group of automation experts to strengthen our efforts to enable container technology for different products within ECS, to further develop and innovate the underlying container platform and to enable new hyperscalers as part of the GCO offerings What youll do: Design lifecycle management operation automation and architecture concepts, tools, and processes leveraging container technology or hyperscaler technology Drive issue resolution together with the teams and utilize the expert network Drive technology discussions and innovations Analyze technical requirements and organize / co-ordinate experts from Enterprise Cloud Services and development and drive these topics to resolution Introduce and stabilize the standardization and automation behind system build and customer service requests procedures in a proactive way leveraging analytical tools and capabilities Drive technical projects What you bring 4 to 9 years of experience in automating and optimizing processes for various operations lifecycle processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Project management skills Strong customer focus and motivation to learn DevOps knowledge using Continuous Integration \& Delivery Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, AliCloud or IBM Cloud SAP Product related knowledge on e.g. WebDispatcher, SAP Cloud Connector or Netweaver based products is helpful but not a must Experience in scripting/programming/markup languages (e.g. Shell, Python, JSON, YAML, Ansible etc.) Knowledge of Argo Workflow/ArgoCD or similar workflow orchestration or continuous delivery tools Understanding of containerization technologies with experience in deploying and managing containerized applications, preferably using Kubernetes and/or SAP Gardener framework Good understanding of Helm or alternatives managing Kubernetes applications Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions Hyperscaler native technologies around storage/network/compute are known to you Latest technologies used in cloud operation like cloud native capabilities, Ansible, Container etc. Inhouse technologies supporting ECS to operate and manage 5000+ customers and 100k+ systems at scale Meet your team SAP Global Cloud Operations enables our customers to focus on driving innovation for the future with a focus on flexibility and simplification.
