Job Description AUTOSAR Base Software Engineer **Job Title:** AUTOSAR Base Software Engineer **Experience:** 3 to 6 Years **Location:** Bangalore **Business Unit:** MCU SW Unit **Project:** AUDI CID SSP Interior Next CID / AUDI HUD MAX **About the Role** We are looking for a skilled **AUTOSAR Base Software Engineer** with experience in automotive embedded software development. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Flash Bootloader (FBL) solutions, implementing diagnostic and communication protocols, and supporting AUTOSAR Base Software integration. The role requires close collaboration with AUTOSAR, MCAL, and application teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality ECU software solutions for automotive programs. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and maintain Flash Bootloader (FBL) software for ECU programming and software updates. - Develop, integrate, and support AUTOSAR Base Software (BSW) modules. - Implement and maintain UDS diagnostics and CAN/CAN FD/Ethernet communication functionalities. - Perform software integration, debugging, validation, and issue analysis on target hardware. - Support ECU flashing and software update activities. - Collaborate with AUTOSAR, MCAL, application, and validation teams. - Analyze and resolve software defects and integration issues. - Participate in software testing, validation, and defect resolution activities. - Work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. - Follow automotive software development processes and quality standards. **Required Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - 3 to 6 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Software Development. - Strong programming experience in Embedded C. - Good understanding of AUTOSAR Classic Platform and Base Software concepts. - Experience in CAN communication stack and UDS diagnostics. - Hands-on experience with Flash Bootloader (FBL) development or maintenance. - Experience using automotive debugging and analysis tools such as CANoe and Trace32. - Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and team collaboration abilities. **Technical Skills** Embedded Software - Embedded C - AUTOSAR Classic Platform - AUTOSAR Base Software (BSW) - AUTOSAR MCAL - ECU Software Development Communication & Diagnostics - UDS Diagnostics - CAN - CAN FD - Ethernet - Flash Bootloader (FBL) Tools - Vector CANoe - Trace32 - Vector DaVinci - EB Tresos **Preferred Skills** - Experience with Vector DaVinci, EB Tresos, or similar AUTOSAR configuration tools. - Knowledge of CAN FD and Automotive Ethernet. - Understanding of Functional Safety concepts (ISO 26262). - Exposure to Automotive Cybersecurity concepts. - Experience in software update and ECU programming mechanisms. **Domain Experience** - AUTOSAR - Automotive Embedded Systems - ECU Software Development - Diagnostics & Communication Stack - Automotive Bootloader Development **Core Competencies** - Embedded Software Development - AUTOSAR Integration - Debugging & Root Cause Analysis - Problem Solving - Team Collaboration - Customer Focus - Quality Orientation - Effective Communication **Preferred Candidate Profile** - Hands-on experience in AUTOSAR Base Software development and integration. - Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and communication protocols. - Ability to independently handle integration and debugging activities. - Proactive, self-driven, and quality-focused professional. - Comfortable working with global teams in a fast-paced automotive development environment.
