This role demands a strong leader with deep technical expertise in software architecture, engineering management, and cutting-edge AI-enabled transformation, tasked to advance our aviation products including CROAMIS and TOPS. Positioned at the nexus of technology and business, this role will drive strategic innovation, modernization efforts, and operational excellence to accelerate digital transformation across the aviation ecosystem. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, delivery teams, sales leadership, and key customers to architect solutions aligned with evolving industry needs. This role requires facility in managing distributed teams, fostering an inclusive engineering culture, and leveraging AI-driven methodologies to enhance platform functionality, scalability, and user experience. ͏ **Key Responsibilities** **Technology & Engineering Leadership** - Develop and oversee execution of comprehensive technology strategies, aligning architecture standards and engineering roadmaps to business goals. - Lead and inspire globally distributed teams encompassing architecture, platform engineering, and DevOps to deliver high-quality aviation software solutions. - Champion efforts to enhance platform scalability, reliability, security, and overall operational performance. - Implement robust engineering governance frameworks and promote adoption of modern software development best practices. - Collaborate intimately with Product Management to ensure technical strategies align with customer requirements and market demands. **AI-Led Engineering Transformation** - Drive enterprise-wide adoption of AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC), embedding AI principles into every phase of software lifecycle. - Lead initiatives focused on AI-assisted coding, automated quality assurance, and productivity enhancement through intelligent engineering tools. - Innovate with Agentic AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation to elevate operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision making. - Design and scale reusable AI frameworks, accelerators, and assets to be leveraged across aviation platforms. - Integrate AI capabilities directly into aviation platform products to enhance customer value and solution differentiation. ͏ **Platform Modernization** - Spearhead cloud transformation initiatives focusing on the migration and modernization of legacy aviation platforms. - Promote best practices in cloud-native architectures such as microservices, containerization, and DevSecOps to enhance agility and security. - Identify and mitigate technical debt, improving platform maintainability, scalability, and fault tolerance. - Establish key engineering performance metrics emphasizing product quality, reliability, and delivery consistency. **Customer & Business Engagement** - Serve as a trusted technology advisor to customers, partners, and stakeholders, fostering robust, long-term relationships. - Lead architecture reviews, technology assessments, and strategic discussions with executive leadership to align technical direction with business objectives. - Contribute to strategic pursuits and transformational programs by providing technical vision and leadership. - Collaborate effectively with sales, product, and delivery teams to support business expansion and customer success. ͏ **Talent Development** - Recruit, mentor, and nurture high-performing teams of engineers and architects with a focus on growth and innovation. - Identify and cultivate future technical leaders, establishing customized development plans and succession strategies. - Promote a culture steeped in continuous learning, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence. - Encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion within teams to foster a supportive and dynamic work environment. - Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and support professional growth opportunities aligned with organizational goals. ͏ **Qualifications & Experience** **Required** - Over 20 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles with increasing responsibilities. - Proven leadership experience managing large-scale, product-focused engineering organizations. - Demonstrated success in leading enterprise modernization efforts and cloud transformation at scale. - Experience managing globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures. - Strong track record engaging with executive stakeholders and influencing strategic business decisions through technology. **Technical Expertise** - Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, distributed systems design, and management of complex software platforms. - Expertise in cloud-native technologies including microservices, container orchestration, APIs, and event-driven architectures. - Proficiency with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, reliability engineering, and platform operations. - Experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows, AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AIDLC), and automation to boost engineering productivity. - Familiarity with advanced AI concepts and technologies such as Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI governance, and observability frameworks. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, system resilience, scalability, and performance optimization. **Preferred** - Industry experience within aviation, airline operations, cargo management, transportation logistics, or travel technology sectors. - Background working in SaaS environments and pro
