We offer deep sector expertise across a full range of products and services in investment banking, equities, fixed income, asset and wealth management in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East and Asia. **Product Controller** We are seeking an experienced **Product Controller** to join our Finance team. The role will be responsible for daily P&L production and analysis, balance sheet review, month-end close activities, stakeholder query management, and control improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office, Operations, Balance Sheet Control, Valuation Control, Regulatory Reporting, Audit, and other Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform daily product control activities, including P&L attribution, investigation, analysis, formal P&L production, funding review, and control checks. - Review and explain P&L movements, including flash versus formal P&L differences and mortgage lifecycle P&L events. - Conduct balance sheet reviews, including other assets, other liabilities, and adjustment balances. - Resolve daily reporting issues by partnering with traders, business managers, Operations, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, book setup, and account mapping teams. - Respond to queries from stakeholders including Front Office, Operations, Balance Sheet Controllers, Valuation Control, and Audit. - Support month-end close activities, including general ledger substantiation, P&L-to-ledger reconciliation, journal entries, analytical review, commentary, and reporting packs. - Assist with regulatory reporting tasks and stakeholder management information requests. - Improve and challenge existing controls and processes. - Support new business approval processes, team coverage, and ad hoc project work. **Skills and Experience** - 8 - 10 years of finance or product control experience within financial services. - Experience in securitized products, loans, mortgage finance, or related products is preferred but not mandatory. - Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with senior stakeholders. - High attention to detail and strong control mindset. - Ability to prioritize workload and meet daily and monthly deadlines. - Proven experience improving controls and P&L production processes.
