Role: AWS Solutions Architect Required Skill SetTechnical Skills 1.Strong experience with AWS core services: Compute: EC2, Auto Scaling, Lambda Storage: S3, EBS, EFS Networking: VPC, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudFront Databases: Aurora PostGreSQL 2.Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant architectures 3.Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK 4.Good understanding of security best practices: IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield 5.Experience with monitoring and logging: CloudWatch, X-Ray 6.Familiarity with containerization: Docker, ECS, EKS 7.Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines Cloud & Architecture 8.Strong understanding of Well-Architected Framework 9.Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures 10.Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud integrations (nice to have) Soft Skills 10.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 11.Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions 12.Problem-solving and analytical mindset 13.Leadership and mentoring capabilities Nice to Have 1.Experience in regulated industries (Banking, Financial Services) 2.Exposure to data services (Redshift, Glue, Athena) 3.Cost optimization and FinOps experience 4.Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud integrations Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role 1.Design and architect end-to-end AWS cloud solutions aligned with business and technical requirements 2.Define cloud reference architectures, infrastructure patterns, and design standards 3.Lead cloud migration initiatives (re-host, re-platform, re-architect) 4.Implement and review security, scalability, availability, and cost-optimization strategies 5.Provide technical leadership during application development, deployment, and operations 6.Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, automation, and IaC 7.Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for modernization 8.Support pre-sales, RFP responses, and solution design (if applicable) 9.Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers 10.Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
