AWS Cloud Data Architect

Job description

We're looking for an AWS Data & AI Architect to design and deliver scalable data platforms and AI/ML solutions for enterprise clients. The role spans solution architecture, hands-on build, and stakeholder engagement, translating business problems into modern, cloud-native data and AI capabilities. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect end-to-end data platforms (ingestion, storage, processing, governance) and AI/ML solutions on AWS - Lead technical design discussions, create reference architectures, and guide implementation teams - Drive modernization of legacy data estates to cloud-native, AI-ready architectures - Partner with business and delivery teams on solutioning, estimation, and proposals - Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and cost-optimization standards - Nice to have knowledge in Agentic AI based solution implementation using Strands and Bedrock. **Required Experience** - 10+ years in data architecture/engineering, with strong hands-on AWS experience - Proven track record designing production-grade data pipelines and ML/AI workloads - Strong stakeholder management and pre-sales/solutioning exposure preferred **Key AWS Services (hands-on experience required)** *Data Engineering & Storage* S3, Glue (ETL/Data Catalog), Lake Formation, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Kinesis (Data Streams/Firehose), DMS, Step Functions *AI/ML* SageMaker (training, endpoints, pipelines), Bedrock (generative AI/foundation models), Comprehend, Textract, Rekognition, Q Business/Q Developer *Core Architecture* Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/CDK, EventBridge, API Gateway
