We named a Leader in the Everest Group Private Equity (PE) Services PEAK Matrix� Assessment 2026 and Software Product Engineering PEAK Matrix� Assessment 2026. **About Position:** We are looking for an experienced Conversational Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, Conversational AI, Voice Bots, and NLP/NLU to design and build intelligent voice and chat experiences. The role involves creating self-service solutions, defining intents, dialogue flows, contact flows, and enterprise integrations while collaborating with solution architects, cloud engineers, business analysts, and customer stakeholders across global teams. - **Role: AWS Connect Developer (Conversational AI Engineer)** - **Location: All Persistent Location** - **Experience: 6 to 13 Years** - **Job Type: Full-Time Employment** **What You'll Do:** - Design, build, and optimize conversational experiences using Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex. - Create intelligent voice, chat, and self-service solutions for customer support and IT service management use cases. - Define intents, utterances, slot management, dialogue flows, fallback handling strategies, and voice user experience design. - Configure Amazon Connect contact flows, IVR routing, queues, routing profiles, agents, and user management. - Develop AI-powered voice assistants, multilingual conversational experiences, and real-time voice-driven customer journeys. - Develop AWS Lambda functions and integrate Amazon Connect with CRM, ServiceNow, IAM, knowledge management, and third-party enterprise applications. - Analyze customer interaction data, improve bot performance, optimize intent recognition accuracy, and support dashboards. - Participate in discovery workshops, solution design discussions, deployment, production rollout, hyper care, and Agile delivery. **Expertise You'll Bring:** - 6+ years in software engineering and cloud technologies with 2+ years of hands-on Amazon Connect experience. - Strong expertise in Amazon Connect administration, contact flow development, routing profiles, queues, agent configuration, and contact center operations. - Hands-on experience in Amazon Lex, NLP/NLU concepts, intent design, dialogue management, prompt engineering, and Voice User Experience design. - Working knowledge of AWS Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, and Step Functions. - Programming and integration skills in Python, Node.js, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, Git, and CI/CD. - Preferred exposure to Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Polly, Amazon Translate, Amazon Bedrock, generative AI solutions, cloud transformation, and managed services. - Strong client-facing communication, international stakeholder management, analytical thinking, documentation, and collaboration skills. **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
