No matter where you are located, you will join a dedicated, creative, and diverse community that will help you discover your fullest potential.* We are seeking an experienced **AWS EUC - WorkSpaces Migration Architect** to lead the migration of virtual desktop workloads from Azure AVD to AWS End User Computing services. In this role, you will design and execute large-scale desktop transformation programs, drive automation, and mentor engineering teams to ensure seamless migration outcomes with minimal end-user disruption. **Responsibilities** - Lead migration PODs responsible for migrating virtual desktop workloads from Azure AVD to AWS End User Computing services - Design migration approaches covering persistent and non-persistent desktops, application delivery modernization, and user profile migration - Drive migration planning, wave execution, cutover activities, and post-migration stabilization ensuring minimal end-user disruption - Develop and standardize migration runbooks, operational procedures, validation frameworks, and automation assets - Collaborate with networking, identity, security, and platform teams to ensure successful migration outcomes - Participate actively in architecture design, proof of concepts, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities - Automate migration, desktop provisioning, validation, and monitoring processes using Python and AWS-native services - Mentor migration engineers while ensuring delivery quality, performance, security, and operational excellence **Requirements** - 13-20 years of professional experience - Hands-on expertise in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Amazon WorkSpaces, including Amazon WorkSpaces Applications - Deep understanding of Windows VDI environments, enterprise desktop lifecycle management, and desktop transformation programs - Background in migrating enterprise virtual desktop and application environments between Azure and AWS platforms - Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID integration, and Group Policies, along with user profile management and FSLogix profile/container strategies - Proficiency in application packaging, delivery, image management, and desktop lifecycle automation - Understanding of networking concepts relevant to VDI including DNS, authentication flows, and firewalls, as well as connectivity and latency considerations - Skills in Python scripting and automation for migration tooling, validation, and operational automation - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD practices, and leading migration or engineering teams in enterprise environments - Strong English communication skills (B2 level or higher) **Nice to have** - AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps, or EUC Specialty) - Experience with AppStream 2.0 and profile migration tooling - Competency in desktop observability and image factory automation - Exposure to AI-assisted migration workflows **We offer** - Opportunity to work on technical challenges that may impact across geographies - Vast opportunities for self-development: online university, knowledge sharing opportunities globally, learning opportunities through external certifications - Opportunity to share your ideas on international platforms - Sponsored Tech Talks & Hackathons - Unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions - Possibility to relocate to any EPAM office for short and long-term projects - Focused individual development - Benefit package: - Health benefits - Retirement benefits - Paid time off - Flexible benefits - Forums to explore beyond work passion (CSR, photography, painting, sports, etc.)
