**Innovation Hub Overview** Jefferies is creating a Technology Innovation Hub in Pune, a greenfield opportunity to build the systems that power global markets. As our first India technology center, this hub brings together hands on builders who engineer the platforms behind Jefferies’ growth across capital markets, investment banking, and institutional securities. We’re scaling toward an elite team of 500 engineers while maintaining the agility, ownership, and meritocratic spirit that defines Jefferies. From cloud and data to AI, risk, and core business technologies, teams in Pune will lead high impact work with a global mandate. **IT Infrastructure Technology** Jefferies’ IT Infrastructure Technology team builds and runs the core technology backbone that enables the firm to operate globally. It covers enterprise infrastructure engineering and operations while driving modernization initiatives such as Cloud Adoption and Network Resiliency. The group supports critical platforms including networking, end-user computing, cloud, databases, server/Unix engineering, communications, and global data centers (including low-latency colocations near exchanges). *This resource will be part of our Cloud Infrastructure Team, leading a business-aligned Pod of engineers. This role will be key in working with various infrastructure teams (Security, Networking, Database, Unix) to develop, deploy and support applications. Due to the collaborative nature of the role, it will be important that this resource be senior in both DevOps / AWS / technical skills and interpersonal skills. Candidate should have strong communication, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills to partner with broader global technology engineering, information security and line of business teams* - Ensure projects are staffed appropriately within the Pod and that issues are resolved quickly. - Provide mentorship to Pod resources on best practices around the development and deployment of cloud resources. - Use Terraform and AWS to deploy highly available, scalable, and secure applications - Assist in architecting, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions - Provide consulting and technical expertise on securely integrating additional cloud services and third-party solutions (such as Salesforce) into their application - Collaborate with the Cloud Engineering, Cloud Security, and Identity Teams on the administration and engineering of Role-Based Access Controls and processes - Help design and develop Governance of cloud infrastructure, including both technical controls and cost governance structures - Create and update support documentation and standards. - Develop automated methodologies for deployment activities, configuration management, supporting systems and business processes. - Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to support our deployment processes - Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments. - Drive compliance and security efforts related to systems managed by the team. **Skills / Experience** - 10+ years experience in AWS - 5+ years experience in global Investment Banking technical operations - Familiarity with global investment banking lines of business - Experience in designing and implementing highly resilient, cloud-native and multi-region solutions for public cloud infrastructure - Strong proficiency with Redis (Elasticache, Enterprise BYOC) and Kafka (MSK) - Strong proficiency with High Availability and resiliency in the cloud - Experience in implementing Secure Architectures for private and/or public internet facing systems - Strong experience with AWS Control Tower, Account Vending, AWS Organizations - Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, infrastructure, and best practices. Such as Containers, Serverless, Microservices - Strong understanding of IaC, CI/CD Pipelines (CloudFormation, Terraform) - Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols and distributed systems - Proficiency in Python, AWS CLI - Working knowledge of Shared Responsibility models - Experience working in Agile teams, and related tools (Jira, Confluence, etc) We have been made aware of bad actors falsely claiming to be associated with Jefferies Group soliciting individuals to attend virtual job interviews, complete online tests or courses and sending fictitious employment offer letters.
