PRIMARY SKILLS (Must-Have): Azure Cloud Networking (Expert Level): • Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) with advanced configurations • Configure, manage, and optimize Azure ExpressRoute for high-performance hybrid connectivity • Deploy and maintain Azure VPN Gateway for secure Site-to-Site and Point-to-Site connectivity • Implement Azure Load Balancer (ALB/NLB) and Application Gateway for scalable application delivery • Utilize Azure Traffic Manager and Front Door for global traffic routing and performance optimization • Configure Azure Firewall and integrate third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs) for advanced security • Enable secure private connectivity using Azure Private Link and Private Endpoints • Design and deploy Azure Virtual WAN for centralized branch connectivity and SD-WAN integration • Leverage Azure Network Watcher for monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis • Implement Azure DDoS Protection and network security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure • Architect hub-and-spoke network topologies with centralized security and management • Configure Azure Route Server and BGP for dynamic routing across hybrid and multi-cloud environments On-Premises Networking (Strong Background): • Expertise in enterprise routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP • Proficient in switching technologies such as VLAN, VXLAN, STP, HSRP, and VRRP • Experience with MPLS and WAN technologies for reliable, scalable connectivity • Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and SD-WAN solutions • Strong background in network security including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN concentrators • Hands-on experience with enterprise load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC, HAProxy) • Familiarity with wireless networking platforms (Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus) • Extensive experience in data center networking using Cisco Nexus, Arista, and Juniper switches DevOps & Automation: • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, and Bicep • Build CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions • Automate network tasks through PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python scripting • Manage network configurations using Ansible for consistent, repeatable deployments • Apply Git version control and GitOps practices for secure, auditable network changes • Implement configuration management and policy-as-code frameworks for governance Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Networking: • Design and implement hybrid cloud connectivity patterns between on-premises and cloud environments • Architect multi-cloud network solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP • Establish secure cloud interconnection and peering strategies • Manage DNS and traffic routing across distributed environments • Develop network architectures supporting disaster recovery and business continuity SECONDARY SKILLS (Nice-to-Have): Advanced Networking: • Experience with Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and service virtualization • Knowledge of service mesh architectures (Istio, Linkerd) and their network implications • Understanding of container networking (CNI, Calico, Cilium) and Kubernetes networking models • Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) principles and implementation • Exposure to SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) frameworks and solutions Security & Compliance: • Proficient in Azure Security Center and Azure Sentinel for threat detection and response • Design and enforce network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies • Apply monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher • Configure flow-based monitoring with NetFlow, sFlow, and other telemetry protocols • Utilize Prometheus and Grafana for real-time network performance visualization • Establish proactive alerting and incident response mechanisms Additional Technologies: • Experience with Cisco ACI and SD-Access for policy-driven data center networking • Proficient in VMware NSX for network virtualization and micro-segmentation • Knowledge of BGP EVPN and VXLAN implementations for scalable overlay networks • Familiarity with API gateways and service mesh technologies in distributed architectures ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cloud Network Architecture & Design: • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures in Azure • Architect hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and Azure using ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Virtual WAN • Define and promote network design standards, patterns, and best practices across cloud and hybrid environments • Produce comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams, IP addressing plans, and security policies • Evaluate emerging cloud networking services and recommend optimal solutions based on business needs • Design multi-region and multi-cloud network topologies to support global operations and disaster recovery Azure Network Implementation & Optimization: • Deploy and configure core Azure networking components: VNets, subnets, NSGs, ASGs, route tables, and network virtual appliances • Manage ExpressRoute circuits, including private peering and Microsoft peering configurations • Optimize Application Gateway, Load Balancer, and Traffic Manager for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency • Implement Azure Firewall and DDoS Protection with layered security controls • Continuously improve network performance, security, and cost through architectural refinement • Diagnose
