**About Position:** The AKS SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale Azure Kubernetes Service platforms across production, disaster recovery, development, testing, and regulated environments. The role requires deep expertise in Kubernetes platform architecture, resiliency, capacity planning, secure networking, traffic management, and modern container networking technologies. - **Role: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) SME** - **Location: All Persistent Location** - **Experience: 10 to 15 Years** - **Job Type: Full-Time Employment** **What You'll Do:** - Design and implement enterprise-scale AKS architectures supporting production, disaster recovery (DR), development, testing, and regulated workloads. - Build and manage multi-node pool AKS environments with workload-specific node segregation and resource optimization. - Define platform standards, architecture patterns, and operational best practices for Kubernetes deployments. - Ensure platform resilience through high availability, multi-zone deployments, and disaster recovery strategies. - Lead AKS cluster sizing, capacity planning, autoscaling, and performance optimization initiatives. - Design highly scalable and fault-tolerant Kubernetes environments aligned with enterprise requirements. - Implement enterprise resiliency patterns, workload distribution strategies, and platform governance controls. - Drive platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives. - Design and implement secure ingress and API exposure architectures using Azure Application Gateway, NGINX Ingress Controller, Azure Front Door, Gateway API, and service mesh technologies. - Define networking strategies for north-south and east-west traffic management. - Optimize traffic routing, load balancing, and application connectivity across distributed environments. **Expertise You'll Bring:** - Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) architecture and operations. - Strong experience with NGINX Ingress Controller and secure ingress design. - Hands-on expertise in Azure CNI Powered by Cilium. - Experience with Advanced Container Networking Services (ACNS). - Strong understanding of multi-node pools, autoscaling, capacity planning, multi-zone availability, and disaster recovery. - Experience with Azure Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, Gateway API, service mesh technologies, and Kubernetes traffic management. - Ability to define enterprise Kubernetes standards, governance controls, resiliency patterns, and operational best practices. **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and benefits package - Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies - Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards - Annual health check-ups - Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents **Values-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:** Persistent is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
